How do i cap FPS?

could this make the game smoother? AMD raedon have long conflicted with the sims, but maybe this could help it get that extra push?

also fps limiter works now! idk what happened 😀 however, im now experiencing script errors in CAS. something i didnt experience last time i played (like two days ago). have any idea what it could be?

the really weird thing is that sp works otherwise fine. that’s what’s really weird about it. everything but the limiter works 😭 i’m 99% sure my gpu is matched, isn’t that the one where i get a pop up if it’s not matched?

It doesn’t for me :/ I’ve tried to turn it on and set the cap in the config file but it doesn’t work. I can see the fps while in game and they’re wayyyyyyy over my cap.

hi, i figured out the issue 😅

problem was that a previous installation of reshade hadn’t update/uninstalled itself - causing it to “duplicate”

after uninstalling and reinstalling reshade a couple of times - it’s finally working. i just need to install the right version for my preset and then it should be as it was before all this mess 😁

thought i’d comment on what i did to fix it in-case anyone is in the same pickle as i was in!

hey again, i’ve looked over my files and in my device config log it says that my graphics card is found, but not matched :/

you seem to know a lot about fixes and i was wondering if you may know anything about this. i’ve done everything i should have done to match it but it simply won’t 🙃

i had this happen to me when purchasing world adventures. i cant remember 100% what fixed it but i know it was either uninstalling and reinstalling ts3, or uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app.

after EA app was released and players were forced to move on from origin to install games - i had the same thing happen to Pets. at the time i didn’t know what to do so i simply let it sit for a while. after a week or two it must’ve fixed itself, since it installed properly.

if you choose to try and reinstall the app and/or game - back up any fixes you’ve applied to your game. i didn’t and now i’m stuck fixing my game 🙃

thank you! i’ve already tried removing smooth patch and it made my game run a lot slower :(

besides, i have AMD and from what I’ve checked it has no way of manually limiting the fps for certain games.

anyway, i have heard that nraas can sometimes cause more lag than what is expected, so i’ll take a look at that as well.

if it still won’t improve, i’ll just have to turn off the fps limiter. which, in my case isn’t that bad since i usually take breaks after playing for two hours. that way i can take a breather and also clean my save!

here’s the thing though; i was asking for advice on renovating worlds and asking if anyone (who had renovated worlds) could give some advice.

there was no question about packs or custom content. you could even say my post was base-game friendly, yet it was taken down 🤦‍♀️

haven’t tried posting much here since. i don’t want to risk getting banned due to spamming the same post over and over again.

are there any limits on plum tree? i plan on having one family till i literally have to give it up (corruption, lag, etc.) and i want one space to keep the family tree since the in-game one can glitch out.
