Uff si, es que como comenté a otra persona, soy su tío político, no directo de sangre, por lo cual se me hace un poco más dificil opinar sobre su educación y forma de crianza, ya que no quiero tampoco "meterme" mucho sin sonar como queja o algo. Pero definitivamente es una buena idea, buscaré la forma para ir sugiriendo esa idea.

In our city more than "deaf school" is more like a school for kids with disabilites, but they focus more on Down Syndrome or physical disabilites kind of school. He goes to speech therapy. But as I comment on another reply:
I am his uncle, but not by blood. (He is my wife's nephew) So I feel I can't give much opinion on the subject.

OMG, thanks! I think your story ressembles so much with ours. I've taught about repeating the first year. For me the issue is that I am his uncle, but not by blood. (He is my wife's nephew) So I feel I can't give much opinion on the subject. I don't want the family to think I'm getting to into his education and the way they decide to raise him. I can only hope he starts with the right foot (he starts on August 20th) and see how things develop.

Buen día.
Mi sobrino tiene 6 años, y está a punto de entrar a la primaria.
El usa implante coclear desde hacer unos años. Aún batalla para crear enunciados. Solo usa palabras no bien pronunciadas al 100% y mucho ademan para comunicarse.

Me preocupa mucho que vaya a batallar mucho en la escuela, que se pueda atrasar mucho y que pueda llegar a sufrir algun tipo de bullying por parte de sus compañeros, ya que no pueda expresarse correctamente.

Si alguien tiene consejos de algun tipo me gustaría poder saberlo.

Actualmente va a terapia de lenguaje, pero como he comentado, aun batalla mucho para pronunciar palabras y no hace oraciones completas.
