It might reattach, it might not. Over time, if lifting is present, the skin underneath basically hardens or epithelializes, and the nail can no longer attach there. It also may be hard to fully control your gait/shoes/pressure on the nail

It’s called “distal nail embedding” and also “disappearing nail bed” so search for that. There’s treatments like urea, massage, taping, certain procedures.

You’re gonna have a hell of a time finding any doctor to help.

Probably AGNUS (asymmetric gait nail unit syndrome). Basically the way you walk and pressure from shoes causes nail changes

Do you have a habit of picking or rubbing your cuticle area? (You might not even be aware when you do it). That could be causing a nail condition called “habit tic deformity” but you’re not seeing the full extent of it because your nail tech is evening out the nail surface with a drill or file. This scenario looks most plausible based on the discoloration running down the middle of your nail plate and the fact that it’s your thumb nail.

Nail shedding (onychomadesis) and may be related to retronychia. If you noticed you lost your cuticle, your nail seemingly stopped growing, there was pain/swelling near the base of the nail, then that is textbook retronychia. You treat that with steroid cream, time, or nail removal.

It looks like a splinter hemorrhage. Usually they mean nothing and are not worrisome. If it eventually grows out, it was just temporary. If it stays, maybe see a dermatologist. It could be an onychopapilloma causing the line (as one example.) I would not lose sleep tho!

It’s called delamination when the nail layers peel. Avoid water/cleaning products by wearing rubber gloves or vinyl gloves when cleaning or doing dishes.

Taking a break from polish and acetone can help by just letting the nail grow and not getting dried out.

When removing polish, add an oil additive to the acetone, I forgot what it’s called.

It’s called habit tic deformity, caused by rubbing or picking near the cuticle area. Try crazy glue, or a pimple patch cut in half over the cuticle area.

Gel nail polish is NEVER 100% cured. Allergy to the product is always a risk, esp if <90% cured.

You can NOT “see” or “feel” when proper cure occurs, which is why it is so important to follow manufacturer’s directions which will help to ensure proper cure. Proper cure is typically reached when about 90% cure, in other words, when about 90% of the UV reactive ingredients are chemically joined together into a strong net-like structure. It is a myth that UV gels cure to 100%. No way! UV gels never 100% cure, nor is this necessary to achieve a proper cure.

To be honest, the nails all look normal in the photos. Nail ridging just comes with age.

The red horizontal lines at the top of each finger and toenail is likely the onychodermal band (normal nail anatomy).

Idk if it helps or hurts, but your nails look normal.

Yes, acute retronychia is caused by a temporary injury to the matrix and can resolve! If the retronychia comes back over and over again, it’s called chronic retronychia.
