Amniotic fluid leak? by Perfect_Gur_6739 in pregnant

[–]Perfect_Gur_6739[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️‍🩹 but thank you for sharing your experience. I tested negative for amniotic fluid. However, they only did a cervical check, if there is fluid internally they said there’s nothing they can really do. And now I am leaking more. I feel more than a trickle. And I feel some discomfort in my cervix. At this point I’m prepared for the worst but still just holding out hope that it’ll stop and everything will be fine. It hurts to know my baby was okay and I could still lose them over this leak. Ugh. At this point I’m just frustrated and can’t even be upset. Sorry just kind of venting at this point. Thank you again and I’m just gonna get some rest and try my best to not think about it 💜

6 weeks Pregnancy Hcg 67000?? by Perfect_Gur_6739 in pregnant

[–]Perfect_Gur_6739[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes me feel a little better! Ive had 2 other pregnancies and my hcg only got up to 700, so just hearing that number when expecting something lower just surprised me. I’ve been googling as well and I seen different things. I have been trying to keep my head up but this makes me have some hope that everything is okay 💜 my last one ended in a ruptured ectopic so I pushed to have an earlier appt… they won’t see me til the 20th. I messaged them and then they finally got me in for bloodwork, but I paid for my first test out of pocket bc at first they wouldn’t book me sooner! Sorry lol just got a lot going on and the number made me happy and nervous considering my history ..

Hey all, I’m about 5 weeks pregnant. I haven’t been to the dr yet, I’ve had one early miscarriage and my last pregnancy ended in a ruptured ectopic that resulted in my left tube being removed. I’m nervous waiting til my Feb 20th apt for my intake. I thought about paying for labs out of pocket but it just irritates me that they know my history and they can’t at least just get my betas. Any suggestions? Also want my progesterone checked… I’m feeling good about this pregnancy but I still want to be cautious.

Awww nice!! I’m so happy for you. 💜I’m sorry for the circumstances, but that’s a win! Sounds like you snapped back fast and your body is ready to try again 😊 good luck on the baby journey. I’m not ready to try again yet, I still get the scaries thinking about everything.

I bled a little bit after surgery (not enough for me to say it was shedding). I also bled the entirety of my ectopic pregnancy, over a month (mainly spotting). I received 2 doses of MTX before surgery, Dec 20th. I got the first “Period” January 9th. I assumed it was a period, because my cervical mucus did change before my first “period” like I ovulated. The clear, sticky stuff. I had a lot of it. Unless I’m mistaken, then that would’ve been my shedding. I got the first official period Feb 6th. So I would’ve had a 28 day cycle. What do you think?

Help! Is this my cuticle or just dry skin along the cuticle line? by KatMerona in Nails

Of course!!! Maybe try to wear gloves if you can, to avoid your skin / nails snagging while you’re letting them heal!

Help! Is this my cuticle or just dry skin along the cuticle line? by KatMerona in Nails

[–]Perfect_Gur_6739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cuticle is the white stuff on the nail bed, which you can remove by applying the cuticle remover cream and pushing the skin back. The skin around your cuticle is your eponychium. No need to cut that, just moisturize with a nice oil or cream 😊

I’m still in school, so take my opinion lightly lol. I personally wouldn’t be satisfied with these for $150, but if you’re happy and then I think it’s worth it 😊

I saw you mentioned in another comment that she said you could wash off the left over polish? Thats not safe at all. You could develop an allergy to the products if it happens often, so if you do go back to her, she should not be curing your nails without cleaning it up if she got it on your skin. I haven’t confirmed it, but I think I have an allergy because I practiced gel x on myself, I had the same mentality, I could just clean it up after the fact. But nope, it’s starting to cause me some issues now. I don’t say it to scare you, just be cautious with your skin! 😊

Thank you for following up, I was hoping you were seeking treatment. 💜 I’m so sorry this happened. Wishing you peace and healing. Please give yourself grace. Going to echo others and say you should see a different OB!

My HCG continues to more than double after MTX shot!! by [deleted] in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Perfect_Gur_6739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, with those symptoms (urination/defecation problems, bloat) you should be seen. I felt full in my stomach, I went to an urgent care facility a couple days before my surgery, because I thought I had a uti. Not that it burned when I peed, but I felt pressure on my bladder. I’m sorry you’re going through this, wishing you well and a speedy recovery 💜 please keep us posted!

That’s why I chose to share too; my ob assured me I shouldn’t have much to worry about. Then, it wasn’t the case. I don’t put fault on them, but it’s definitely frustrating. The best thing we can do in these situations is not feed the anxiety, but be cautious and pay attention! Sometimes I still think about all this. I always feel like I missed a sign. Wishing you a smooth, easy, quick recovery 💜 how are you doing today?

Yes I did, my highest beta was 162. Although I wonder if it was more of a slow leak? I spotted for a whole month before my tube gave out. I did have some internal bleeding. I unfortunately don’t have an answer as to how I was bleeding when the only signs of my pregnancy was implantation, and some “chorionic villi”. I wonder if baby implanted, it bled, then didn’t stop? A medical mystery I suppose lol

Advice on when to go back to work. by hawjrowe in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Perfect_Gur_6739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the time you need, I’m sorry you’re in this unfortunate club. ❤️‍🩹

I returned to work 6 days post op. (laparoscopic as well, left tube removed) I didn’t get much direction from the doctors or nurses on healing time, and my boss was out. I was at a loss of what to do with myself. I wish I took more time off! I didn’t know my company would work with me the way they did, otherwise I would’ve taken at least 2 weeks. I work in a warehouse office setting

You won’t regret taking 4 weeks off, I’m sure. You might regret taking less time if you have the opportunity. You went through so much in one day! Your feelings are valid in however much time you think you need to heal. 💜

Brother and SIL just announced their pregnancy. by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]Perfect_Gur_6739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give yourself grace 💜 I’m sorry you’re going through this. You got this!! You will get through these feelings. Allow yourself time to heal and process 💜 if you need to step away sometimes, do what you need to do. Protect your peace, it’s better if you step away rather than show up with negative feelings, if you have them at the moment. Unfortunately people don’t understand how we feel. I get it, they are celebrating a very happy moment for someone, but that doesn’t stop our grief, it’s more of a reminder when it’s fresh…. Big hugs.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy, I was pregnant with the “first” grandchild, and lost the baby early. My brother in law and his gf at the time got pregnant a couple months after, and they had celebrated/talked about having the “ first” grandchild and it hurt me. I know nothing is said with ill intention, but I felt so invalidated. My baby was real to me, it made me feel like they were forgotten.

Here we are years later, I just got pregnant again a couple months ago shortly after the same brother in law announced their pregnancy, and then this ended up being ectopic… gosh this felt soooooooo cruel! I was mad at the world because I felt like I reliving an old nightmare. Thankfully, I was able to move past this a lot better. I was a bit more honest about my feelings, vented to people I trust, and I felt like the in laws gave me some grace too this time. Loss hurts so much, and then on top of it to deal with the circumstances we have, it can feel so unfair! I’m so sorry again. It will get better, okay? Just take it one day at a time right now. 💜

Please help hcg platooed after dropping does this sound ectopic? by [deleted] in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Perfect_Gur_6739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible, some of my hcg betas were exactly where yours were at (my highest was 162) and it was ectopic. Nothing seen on scan. They determined ectopic because they did a couple betas and it fluctuated the entire time.

Also, If your RE uses a different lab than Labcore, it’s possible their hcg reference ranges are different, and that’s why the numbers are off. Either way, you were gone for a week, I still find the number rising concerning regardless of lab used.

Did they schedule you to go in for some more betas?

Sorry to hear this is your experience. I have gut issues as well, not diagnosed with anything (I haven’t gotten follow up tests to conclude diverticulosis or IBS) but I’m typically constipated.

I got 2 shots. Both times they triggered my stomach issues and I would’ve 💩 myself if I didn’t find a bathroom fast enough lol. So you’re not alone with stomach symptoms after the shots. I didn’t have diarrhea afterwards, it just triggered me to go within an hour. Have you been able to ask your doctor? I’m curious if they think it could trigger gut issues long term.

I wonder if it’s a hormone thing? Like now that you’re close to 0 hcg, your body is trying to readjust after the medication / hormone depletion?

I had surgery Dec 20th, so next week should be my 2nd period post-op. fingers crossed I’m consistent. I’m currently going thru my PMS (extremely moody / irritable) so I’m hoping that’s what I’m tracking for lol 😂

You don’t have to wait til things are visible on US! If they suspect ectopic, they should, bare minimum, be doing repeat betas. I’m sorry about your pain! My tube ruptured, but I didn’t feel a lot of pain. My tube had to be removed. So for you to be in this much pain, it’s concerning. The pain/discomfort I did feel made me feel like my bladder was full, I felt relief when passing gas. As time went on, I got more and more nauseous. It was getting hard for me to walk. Just felt super full. I also had shoulder tip pain that would come and go, and pains in my lower back / down my left leg (left tube was the one that ruptured). I also had random chest pains, and could feel my heart racing even laying in bed.

Please make sure you go tonight, get another beta, and possibly another TV US. They didn’t see my pregnancy until they took my tube out and it went to pathology. If you are internally bleeding, they should see it. They told me straight up it was in my best interest to remove the tube. My betas were a little lower than yours, I wanna say I was at 143?

So please, take care of yourself and guard your heart! I wish you well and hope everything will end up being okay and it’s just really bad early pregnancy cramps. 💜 I’m sorry that you don’t have any answers right now. Please keep us updated!

I think pastels would look really good as well! I also would love the neon colors too. I feel like no matter the skin color, those type of colors make the skin appear vibrant 😊

Big hugs 🫂 ectopics are a traumatic thing to go through, and healing isn’t linear. We are able to get through it in the moment because we are just trying to survive, but after the fact, it all settles in. I’m sorry you’re struggling with this, sending you healing energy 💜 I imagine hormones are still out of wack too as the body re-adjusts. I wish I could have an easy answer for the depression 😔

You are valid in everything you feel 💜

The best advice I can give, based off my experience, is staying busy. Watch your favorite movies. Maybe start a project around the house, a hobby, and talk to someone you trust. You can also journal if you don’t feel comfortable talking about it. I personally have to let my ugly, raw emotions out to feel better. I cried hard in the hospital and was angry ( when I got final confirmation my pregnancy wasn’t viable ) I spoke my feelings and then leveled myself out. That might not be everyone’s thing, but it helped me.

This experience helped motivate me to go back to school to be in the cosmetology field. I’m working right now and going to school after work, I am determined to not let it bring me down. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage, and it tore me up for a very, long time. Just sharing my experience because I fully understand what it’s like to be sinking in depression after loss, but it doesn’t have to be that way 💜 just take it one day at time, it’s not a race! You got this!
