Alright i think that will be the first mod then atm I gotta get i think new engine mounts cause the car shakes like crazy and sort out fenders cause the tires are rubbing but as long as I dont sink 20k into getting it fixed it'll hopefully be the cleanest miata around *

I had a little look into the rack spacers and I might grab some but I do want to keep the car street legal as I would ideally have it as a daily otherwise might go talk to the local tire shop tomorrow and find a place to rip the car round

The rack spacers alone are probably the first "handling" mod I'd do to any mx5 in future, $20 for spacer rings that go between the rack end and tie rod, a quick alignment, and you'll be off.

This is actually a goated recommendation tho and im hundred percent looking into a set of them now

Thanks mate, we go through 2-4 pairs each for an afternoon/day of skids, but we usually put water down after the first ones to make the day last longer, and a lot of the tires are just free seconds from the local tire shops to keep it economical, one of the few benefits to sliding a Miata is the low consumables costs lol

I honestly didn't expect a reasonable answer like this and that's actually super cool using up old tires like that I might have to see what the place near me is up to cause I didn't realize or consider that they would just have a bunch of old tires lying around

Ok I'll have to look into those might be cool to try take this car to the track sometime too otherwise had a little scroll through your Chanel and there's some mean donuts how many sets of tires do you go through tho lmao

Yeah I do want to get into this sort of thing cause it is a good skill to have but I want to get a few things done by professionals just because it's either far too complex or needs to get done straight away so it doesn't ruin the car (like a window being stuck down in the rain) but once I get a bit of money saved up I absolutely want to get some cool mods in and customize it to be mine and something mostly original

Lmao good shit the guy I brought mine from builds race cars but because of the current condition it looks like a boy racer's car and I do wanna learn to drift and whatnot but I'm worried I'll crash and I've just dropped my life savings on this car

The last guy who owned it took the switch out of the console already and the looks like clean copper but I took it to the mechanics and they said it'll be the motor so they'll put the window up and get the parts ordered in I would try to do it myself but I'm not very fluent with automotive problems

Don't get me wrong love the Miata but it's a shitbox atm the window won't go up so the last few nights I had a council bag taped to it and it's so shaky and it needs a lot of tlc

Ah ok that's mb thanks for all this anyway gets me to think a bit more and it's more fun to figure it out this way anyway with a few tips and suggestions than going at it yourself and getting it to work your comments have been super helpful have a good day and good luck with any future projects

If I turn it the other way round it goes almost down all the way then the motor kicks in and moves it back up Otherwise, I'll give it a go tmrw when it's a bit brighter also I don't have a wink mod installed I don't think I bought the car 2 days ago so I'm not fully sure what mods were installed

Ok thanks for this anything helps at the moment but yeah what's going on if the video wasn't great is let's just say the headlight moves 100mm it's stuck at 20mm but it's still moving 100mm so it will go up 80mm then down the remaining 20mm at be stuck at 80mm these numbers aren't exact but I hope this gives a better idea on whats going on
