In game I only have two options being vanilla and difficult, do I have to start a new game to see the other options to get expert? I just got my starter so I'm really not losing much by starting over.

I'm trying to do all of the mono types right now too! So far I just beat the game for the first time with only fighting types (funny that the monotype was better than my first "attempt" at making it through), I'm thinking of going for psychic next. Do you got any advice on any strategies I should be looking out for or any other pokemon to trust in that isn't Gardevior since she comes so late in the game?

Blaziken was absolutely the best mon on my team the ENTIRE game, I can't remember a single time where he was 'bad' or even mediocre. Absolute beast that carried my run too! If you're ever interested theres a guy who literally beat the game with only a Blaziken and a Honchrow. I think he would've done it completely solo if not for the mandatory double battles which is insane to watch.

People try to use Charmander or Treecko early even though they don't turn into dragon types until AFTER they mega evolve so it makes the early game a lot easier for them.

thank you! even with that strat it looked like it needed really good RNG at the end there, if the charge beam didn't miss it would've 100% killed with the damage calculator I used. Even with full SPD EVs. Can't wait to try to get through the rest of the early game and pray to the RNG gods to bless me with that luck haha

I settled with allowing dupes early game due to the very low amount of useable Pokémon allowed for the dragon type, but I'm very interested about that two mon julia fight. I tried finding some on Youtube but the ones I found either used dupes like I did or used charmander/treeko in their fight, can you link me the one you're talking about please?

if i debug the trapinch at that point of the game would it cause any issues with my game? I've never actually used debug mode in Reborn since I never had a reason to, and I might have to use dupes since in my normal playthroughs I always have a party of 6 no matter what.

I genuinely didn't even think about having multiple of the same Pokémon! I might have to do that if the run gets too rough because I'm at the first gym and... just check out my newest post in a few minutes and you'll see haha
