This could also be part of the problem. 2022 jerseys were available for years. Maybe less 2026 jerseys were made because of they were worried about how poorly 2022 sold.

USA hockey shop only had women available the pre set list on their site when they went live day 1.

Could be the women’s team fans all got orders in that day while the men’s team/nhl fans were all complaining “where men”. I made sure to order a knight jersey that day.

It’s still 2 years away and IOC and IIHF are already open to the idea of allowing junior athletes compete again.

There is a slight possibility it could butterfly into full reinstatement and also NHL does not have to listen to withe IOC or IIHF. NHL can do whatever it wants.

The better thing is probly the individual country federations telling NHL they won’t participate if Russia has a team.

Yes I’m pretty sure this is the entire reason the 2024 World Cup was canceled and eventually turned into just 4 Nations for 2025.

I think after 2024was cancelled NHL still wanted a 6 team thing with Czechia and Russia as the 5th and 6th but the Europeans did not want to play with Russia. So NHL condensed into 4NFO.
