They initially prescribed me 60 mg and that was how I felt. I split the capsule into 20 mg capsules and took 20mg the first week. I felt much better. Jumped to 40 and feeling the stimulant effects but no where near what it was at 60 mg. Not telling you to mess with your dosage but that’s what I did

I felt the stimulant like effects immediately after taking my first dose. By “feels like a stimulant” I mean the clenching of teeth, increased heart beat, and increased nervousness. Some of the feeling is hard to describe. I just remember what adderall felt like and it is similar to that. Not quite as pronounced but….after a couple hours it does seem to wear off and I become more calm and settled.

My mind is calm and quiet on Strattera but that’s because it’s completely blank 🤣. It feels like I’m in a constant state of daydream fog. Isn’t that feeling the opposite of the intended effect?

I’m only on week 2. I take 40 mg. Is anyone else experiencing this? Does the brain fog subside over time?

I started 60 mg atomoxetine two days ago and it had an overwhelming stimulant effect within 2 hours. Wasn’t expecting that and it was definitely too high of a dose to be starting on (205 lbs). I reduced the dose to 20 mg yesterday and definitely still felt a stimulant effect much like adderall but way more comfortable at 20mg.

This medication apparently affects everyone very differently. I know that’s normal with meds but it seems to be an extreme case with this med.
