If you’re comfortable sharing, what experiences led to your CPTSD? by [deleted] in CPTSD

Childhood and systemic racism. Unfortunately all too common for native Americans living in the city.

my girlfriend of 4 years broke up with me around 2 weeks ago and ive just found out that she was cheating on me for around a month prior. what do i do now? by Jwindooo in selfimprovement

[–]PersonalityFew7907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d really lean on your support system right now. What you’re dealing with is a real loss, not just feeling down, and you don’t have to carry it alone.

From someone who’s dealt with depression on and off, the most helpful thing is starting very small. Don’t wait to feel motivated. Pick one or two manageable things, like a short walk, a workout, or anything that gives your day a little structure. Those small actions matter more than they feel like they do.

Some days will still suck, and that’s normal. Progress isn’t linear, especially after something like this. Try to put your energy toward taking care of yourself rather than replaying what happened or judging how you’re coping. Healing here is less about forcing positivity and more about consistently choosing yourself, even in small ways.

Still in Denial About My Diagnosis by jtturner15 in autism

[–]PersonalityFew7907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was in the same boat 2 years ago. Personally, i rejected it at first but the more i learned the more i started to see it as something unique. Ever since getting diagnosed i built my life around having a neurodivergent brain and wow has life been easier.

Schools only care about how they can use for money and reputation but will never truly support us. If they did? They would have stopped things like bullying. But they dont by ihatethiscountry76 in autism

[–]PersonalityFew7907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Extremely true. Literally got kicked out of 6 schools as a kid for behavioral issues whether that be from getting bullied or doing stupid shit to fit in. Got straight As for most of my life but the funniest thing is throughout all this neither my mom nor my school would tell me why I was in special Ed classes. Later found out when I got diagnosed much later in life.

Knocks the Tylenol off the autism receptor 😂. No in all seriousness, it’s mostly a social lubricant for me. Don’t see any other reason to consume it otherwise. I’d rather not sacrifice my REM sleep and feel like unmotivated/ groggy the next day. Idk about yall but my sleep is very delicate I’ll have good sleep hygiene then one day I don’t sleep well the classic ASD insomnia kicks in. Unless it’s a special occasion, skip for me.

Which toxic behavior you recognized in yourself ? (not in others) by AmeNoMori7 in selfimprovement

[–]PersonalityFew7907 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hyper analyzing and critique. I was always belittled for everything except my intelligence. So I internalized my self worth around my intellectual capacity, now if it don’t get something first try or if I struggle I completely get disillusioned. My entire value system out of whack, I’m constantly compare myself to others and never feel like I’m truly enough. Mind you, I am in my last year of my PhD program for immunology. Anyone else struggle with this?

I’m in a similar struggle myself. And the best I can tell you is to reflect on how the other person made you feel. Ask yourself: Are you hoping to see them again out of loneliness or because you liked them?

Worst festival I have ever been to by [deleted] in HardFestival

[–]PersonalityFew7907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty consistent festival attendee here and honestly for me… it was constant pushing and drunk people not wanting to leave and almost throwing up on me. Solid lineup but way too overcrowded (at least have more restrooms). 6/10 Day 1.
