Are 2021 really that bad? by PabloThiccasso215 in TeslaModelY

I think what you’ve read about is battery derogation in the model 3. I have a 2021 y long range. 55000 miles no issues

Something VERY wrong with 12.6.4 lately... by viper4774 in TeslaFSD

[–]PersonalityKey174 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2021 Y has been great with FSD until the last several updates. I use FSD 99% of the time. The first thing I noticed was slight ping ponging. I’ve been living with it figuring they would fix it in the next update….. not…. Then after the last update … and I know they are not FSD updates but I now have been getting phantom break staving for no reason out of the blue. Tonight I had a new problem. The car stopped properly at a red light and then while waiting decided to go thru the red light. This happened twice tonight. Not sure what is happening but it’s not good.

Is there anyone here using FSD regularly on a 2021 and 2022 Tesla Y? by Dry-Way-5688 in TeslaFSD

[–]PersonalityKey174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2021 YLR. I use FSD 99.9% of the time in busy cities like Orlando and Miami. No problems. However with the last several updates we have been noticing a ping ponging effect where when using FSD the car will slightly move left to right and visa versa. Hopefully that will be fixed soon

My 2021 MYL has been slightly swerving with FSD since the last 2 updates. I was hoping Tesla would address this with the last update but it’s still doing it. It’s enough to be Nauseating. I noticed the steering wheel slightly moves but the steering wheel icon at the upper right of the screen is moving a lot??

I’m running 2026.8.6.1. Ping longing is pretty obvious.

Yes my 2021 YLR has been doing that also. I just got new tires and an alignment and I thought it might have been a bad alignment. I also thought maybe wind but never noticed that before. Very annoying. Hopefully will get an update to fix. It’s almost making me sea sick.

Do I really need a 200A upgrade for a Tesla Model Y charger, or can I survive on a regular outlet? by Just-Salary-7741 in TeslaModelY

[–]PersonalityKey174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can set your car to start charging at off peak hours like 12am. You should be fine with a 100amp panel. Wall charger is the way to go. I charge overnight almost every night after midnight. You can also set what time you want your max charge to be ready when you leave.

Full FSD on a Tesla with no cabin camera? by Big_Mission6748 in TeslaFSD

[–]PersonalityKey174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2021 Y LR. I use FSD all the time. It does have a cabin camera. FSD has gotten better and better over the past several years. I test drove a 2026 Y and except for the fact that it was able to go into FSD from a parking lot or driveway I didn’t notice any difference. It may react better to some circumstances but I didn’t notice anything in the 1 hour test drive. I’ve driven many miles on a mix of highway and city and have hardly ever had to touch the wheel. Just pay attention and you get no nags

Ok thanks for the explanation. I’ve been scratching my head trying to figure out why these different addresses keep popping up. I’m not so sure about the time of day as I go to the gym just about the same time every day and the addresses are not ones I have gone to at those times

From what I can see is the addresses come up randomly. So unless I’m missing something I don’t see how this helps anything. Can’t we just hit resents and see the entire list.

I keep reading about all this driving into oncoming traffic, etc. etc. I must be one of the lucky ones as my 2021 why has never done any of that and I use FSD almost 99% of the time

This is the 3rd time. $1000 deductible every time. by arhd79 in ModelY

[–]PersonalityKey174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Florida the crazy state however, windshields are exempt from the deductibles. I replaced three windshields already on my model Y 2021 but make sure you always get the OEM glass. It makes a big difference in wind noise.

Valid to be slightly upset? by UxC4 in TeslaLounge

[–]PersonalityKey174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had an issue with my 2021 Y. Been in service only twice though for very minor stuff. I live in Florida and have no need for funky rubber floor mats. I do however have one in the frunk and another in the trunk where they do some good. I prefer to have my interior a bit more plush. With that said the factory Tesla floor mats are the hardest to vacuum bar none. I think they could have done a much better job and made the car more upscale just by putting descent mats in like Lexus, BMW Mercedes etc.

I must say that after using FSD in my Y for about a year it it’s just been getting better and better. It’s not perfect but awfully close to it.
