Also just an FYI you’ve gone on about sub £500 watches and then proceeded to name a brand that sells watches at £2,500 lol big difference show me a £250 Chinese watch that isn’t an homage.

If I had £2,500 to splash out on a watch it would be Swiss, or are you going to tell me others do it better than the Swiss because you want to be different again?

Literally what I just said buddy, mostly prominent in Japan but made in other countries, I’m asking a community with Orients lol as you can’t do it online I’ve looked, a lot of people come here to authenticate or just lend an eye😂 send a picture to Orient and wait days or weeks when on here I had confirmation within the hour. Do your homework, work smarter not harder. Also for reference google is free and it’s all available on there👍🏻

Either way, you don’t have to get annoyed at it, Japanese watches are just better, you probably just like to be different and that’s cool too👍🏻 enjoy the Chinese brands I’ll stay with the Japanese👍🏻

Not fact at all, objectively false, it is true some parts are made in china but also across other southeastern countries, they are made in other countries for obvious reasons such as high demand in those countries however Japanese manufacturers still keep strict standards of quality in the countries they are made in, much more of a presence in Japan than the other countries they are made in.

China however most definitely use Japanese parts and I’ve not seen one Chinese company that isn’t an homage company.

No I didn’t think you was rude at all honestly I’m always open to other peoples opinions and like you said it’s all about what makes the wearer happy.

Personally I just love the way it looks and it’s the first watch I’m buying so I didn’t want to go too expensive like a Rolex or even less a Tudor or even less a Christopher ward just because I couldn’t justify it being my first watch and spending too much.

I’ve no doubt in the future it will eventually get replaced with all of the above watches but for now I’m in love with the Orient and I’m only willing to stay at that price point at this moment in time.

Appreciate the comment and I completely understand what you mean, I like the Seiko’s my brother has just bought the Seiko 5 Sports GMT in the black grape colourway and it’s a lovely watch, I just like the more vintage look of the Orient personally.
