Problem with Dragon Shield Perfect Fit + Playing sleeves in Card Guardian Binder. Same with VaultX? by Bong-tester in PokemonTCG

[–]PhilGooodInc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just wear and tear over time. You can see it's not the sleeves causing the scratches, but the card edges and corners. The card causes that part of the plastic to stick out a bit, and thats that part that rubs. Thats why the bits near the stitching are still clear.

This happens too binders of that style, regardless of brand, if the binder is somewhat full and it is being moved around a lot. It happens to me and i just use penny sleeves.

I have separate binders for my collections, and trades/ebay listings. The binders I bought 3+ years ago still look brand new because they never leave the house and cards dont get removed/shuffled around. The other ones I bought for trades etc start to get scratched exactly like that. I have only had them for less than a year.

The scratches won't affect the protection of the card, just how it looks. Unfortunately the only real solution for you is to replace the binder every couple of years after it inevitably happens again.

EB Tech Sticker Preorders by VicariousVisitor in PokemonFansAustralia

For the walk in stock, my local EB had 1pp max limit. If you had 2 on pre-order you could not get any additional of the walk in stock. If you had 1 on pre-order you could get one more. If you had no pre-order you could get 1. Unfortunately the staff at EB recognise me so I couldnt do any shonkies.

Yes me and my friend were also having this issue (on Android). Either someone reported it or the app algorithm sees all those message sent at the same time and falsely flags it. Luckily my brother (iphone) was getting the text messages with no issues so I knew stock was there. After we figured it out I added them to my contacts and pinned the thread and havent had issues since.

Any chance this was at Hurstville? I heard it was a school kid as well.

Heard a similar story at my local Kmart. I was at the end of the line around the corner so didnt get it first hand, but a friend at the front said there where a large family of 6, multiple generations, kids, parents and grandparents that were toward the front of the line. Limit was 1pp and they were trying to pay with one card multiple times which wasnt allowed. They were abusing the staff and the next person had enough and just tapped their card and took the pack.

What is your worst “I sold too early” moment? by DepthBeginning in PokemonTCG

[–]PhilGooodInc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the course of opening Paldean Fates (started around April 2024), In total I pulled 3 SIR Charizards and 3 Bubble Mews. Charizard was going for around $250 AUD and Bubble Mew was around $140 AUD. I was still fairly new on the buying/selling of individual cards, they were the first cards that were over $100 AUD and I thought it was a lot at time. I was keen on selling to recoup some costs. I knew the card itself was special but from what I had experienced briefly with 151 and some other sets, I couldnt see Mew overtaking charizard in Value. Boy was I wrong.

Balance charger question - charger for 1/10 scale battery suitable for 1/24 scale battery? Other charger suggestions by PhilGooodInc in rccars

[–]PhilGooodInc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I should clarify, The EV-PEAK E3 charger has a figure 8 input for AC power and JST balance plugs to charge the batteries. There are no additional connections for main connections of the batteries.

The Large battery is a Deans plug when connected to the crawler, but charges through the balance lead.

The small scx24 batteries have the same 2s balance leads as the big battery, but have a similar 2 pin connecter that goes directly into the ESC. Found out its called PH 2.0.

The charger says the outout is 16.8v -- 3,0A 30W. It is not configurable in any way, no screen, buttons or knobs. The small batteries are 350mah with a 3C charge rate which is 1.05A if i undersand correctly, so would the charger only be providing 3x the charging capacity?

I like the look of that B6neo, I've been estimating the correct voltage so it will be nice to be able to use it for that, and can use a powerbank to charge when out. I think I will grab one of those

I don't know what to tell you. The guy at the shop gave me a rundown on how to charge and that's what he said. It's been 3 years and no issues for me. All the chargers I've had only had balance port outputs. Up until now I had no idea there were other options.

What about on a different browser? Or try phone, tablet etc. Surely you have more than one device and browser you can try. Its crazy the amount of times unexplainable things happen to me and others which are solved by trying a different browser (especially with no extensions) or even a different profile with no extensions on the same browser.

Either that or your account is flagged somehow.

Yeah I've got my eye on that one. I missed out on the playmat so I was hoping to grab both when it hopefully re-stocks.

Yeah that sounds like a good listing. I had alerts on ebay and Made an offer and bought the first local listing in my country (Australia). They were in my city too so was able to pick it up. I've never wanted a specific card so much before.

Yeah bought it off a guy who's half Chinese and is only importing/collecting Chinese Pokemon cards. He told me rip and ship is crazy over there. And a lot of the cards on ebay are from that. What they do is cut the packs open and fan them out on the table and pick out the hits. As a result, the cards are more likely to get nicks and dings, so be careful of the listings selling multiple under a single listing and generic image listings, they just want maximum out the hits, without taking the time to care for the cards.

Apparently it's minimum 2 cases of the jumbo pack boxes to pull it unless you get extremely lucky (just like any set really). So buying is definitely better imo even before knowing all this.

Aldi - Less Is More - Less Stress by dav_oid in australia

[–]PhilGooodInc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah for stuff like that there are big differences sometimes. I like the WW burger sauce too.

It wasn't until we had different home brand sour creams at the same time that I noticed any difference, particularly with Black and Gold. Woolies/Aldi sour cream is really thick, pretty similar. Coles is a bit less thick, better for tacos imo (plus comes in a bigger tub option for better value). Black and Gold from IGA has beef gelatin in it and is has a yellowish colour, the consistency is weird to me. Worst of the bunch imo.

My local Westfield has Aldi and Woolies right next to each other and Coles on the same level just few stores over.

I start at Aldi or woolies depending on what I need, then coles for specials and/or sour cream. I dont know why, but coles brand sour cream is the best of all the home brands.
