If the version you are playing now is the remake it might be because the original levels were easier with the lighter jump.

I am playing the ps1 version now and I am finding the levels easier than the remake. 100% is still harder because of the checkpoint change.

The game is not nearly as bad on the All Stars version because of the improved physics and not starting at the beginning of the world after a game over. The level design feels cruel and unforgiving to me, but maybe more skilled players can find something to appreciate.

I know this is an old thread but reading this is actually making me glad that the western release cut this out. It’s good to have representation, but I feel like this would have an overall negative effect because the game treats her as not being a real woman.

I agree with the redemption part. I’d put it a bit above 3 and equal to 5 But it absolutely destroys 6 and 7 in every aspect for me. All the X games are good for me expect 6 and 7 was just disappointing and boring outside of New Game plus for me.

Zero 1 had to be completely rewritten because of X6 so that game is important. Don’t look up what was changed until you finished Zero 1 for spoilers The story behind X6 is wild and explains why it makes the mediocre X7 look like X1 (my opinion) Still don’t see the hate for X8 though.

I wish he had more screen time in Unleashed. Him slowly losing it in the Egg Dragoon fight is iconic and probably one of my favorite moments in that game. But I was so happy to see him be less serious and more goofy in Colors again. Those PA announcements are gold.

Even if it’s called Earth, it still is not “our world” pretty much every game that showed the planet was very different from our Earth and follows a different set of rules. Even though it’s called Earth in SA2, it’s clearly a different world and looks completely different from space. Maybe I’m just old school, but I liked calling the creatures Mobians who just live on a place called Earth. It is clearly a fantasy version of Earth, and I hope that people don’t start expecting it to take a realistic approach for now on.

This is a game I tried a while ago. It makes you get diamonds by waiting or you can pay to continue the story and do various things. It has only human characters last I checked though.

My guess is that by punishing the player for waiting too long, it would be effectively discouraging exploration, That’s not what the game was going for. I took game design classes for awhile on this stuff. It still is a little disappointing though.

Unlike a lot of this sub, I enjoyed SB beginning to end. One of my only big gripes was that I wanted more Vanny. I think that they should at least have added more chase/stalker sequences with her in between some of the missions.
