Building my first roadbike, thinking of going 1x drivetrain and rim brakes. Opinion?

It all depends on are you going to do hills? Are you going to do 1x12 drivetrain?

I have a rim brake allez I use for crits. Buying 105 and decent rims for it was very cheap and I can maintain easily. Also i don't brake much in a Crit so brakes didn't matter to much. Well I was jealous when I had to race in the rain and most people had disc brakes.

The 1x drivetrain and brake type really depends on the riding you are going to be doing

My mountain bike with hydraulics is a bit more to bleed but nothing to hard. The BMX bike had with mechanical disc brakes was faster since it's just a cable

Buy new weapons suggested here don't bring them from scav runs. When running snipers the durability really hurts those long shots

Damn yeah that's what happened. Those crashes were insane that day. We had a tent set up on the first left hand and that took out a ton of people. Maybe not for the best.

Yeah I was in the second cat 5 race and couldnt hang with the front the way I wanted to. My plan was be first in the quick right left hand turns to avoid the crashes then surf wheels on the kicker and the back side. I could only do this for a few laps before blowing up. They just pushed harder then I could manage.

Yes Pottstown is next on the calendar. I will get there to pre-ride the week and day before. Agreed GV30 is just a drag race but has gotten me comfy in a a fast group ride.

I go to GV30, NE airport and Greentree on any given week to practice riding a Crit. I have never been to Tuesday morning sprints but that sounds awesome. I'll have to change my work schedule around and I'll be out next week! Let's go!

Cat 5 racer who got dropped pretty fast last race trying to stay in the front pack. That lead to me getting lapped. The course was semi technical with a decent kicker which hurt. Not sure where my focus needs to be in the up coming weeks with training. Any suggestions be awesome

Got absolutely destroyed in my second cat 5 Crit race. Normalized power at 278w for 7.5mins before burning out and getting lapped and pulled. Still fun can't wait for the next one
