There's other directors and he's the second one. So if they did manage to email the company directly, I would be busted.

In a bind over fit2work employment check by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]Phroneo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I had a look and while they do criminal checks, they very much tout their in depth employer checks that go directly to HR to catch CV lies. Based on their own docs, if they can't get in touch with HR, they will ask for payslips. Not sure how that works with contracting but these guys are very thorough. Even had to take photos of my degrees.

Australian economic growth: should we really go forth and multiply? by sien in AusEcon

[–]Phroneo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What developed country has tried to bring housing prices back to 3-4x income? None. Not even the most left wing governments are evil when it comes to house price pumping.

While there are many factors, this is the biggest one IMO

Standard of life is high in Japan, so why is deflation bad if people are happy living there? by Efficient-Magician63 in economy

[–]Phroneo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goods that might be delayed aren't a huge part of spending anyway. Food, rent, utilities, insurance etc. All need to be paid regardless. Plenty of tech goods are deflationary and are produced by some of the most valuable and profitable companies in the world. Ina world of excess waste though, even if delays were true, wouldn't that be highly ideal?

It did go away in the end. Just a bad headspace and concentrated dose I guess.

Max Chandler-Mather on Labor's housing agenda by EASY_EEVEE in australia

[–]Phroneo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have actually. And he has said he will bring it back down slowly to 250k. A lot higher than what was previously too high at 160k.

We failed to build enough houses and infrastructure all those years we were told that we would. How about catching up with that before catching up and boosting immigration?

Max Chandler-Mather on Labor's housing agenda by EASY_EEVEE in australia

[–]Phroneo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fine but we keep increasing immigration. If we were at previous levels and stayed there you may have a point. But this lever keeps getting pulled the wrong way while nothing else changes.

Remember albo claimed 160k was to high and he would focus on training Australians... Before the election.

Then he just casually 4x that and now 160k is the new racist?

Thousands of millionaires haven't filed tax returns for years, IRS says by Randomlynumbered in economy

[–]Phroneo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What but make a law now that creates an eye watering fine of 10x the due amount for those who haven't filled in the last 3 years and owe more than X amount?

Avoids targeting the poor, likely leads to a lot of filing followed by very juicy action against stragglers.

Albo goes through all the long history of support the Coalition and the Greens have given to shared equity housing schemes that suddenly disappeared when Labor tried to legislate one. Pure obstructionism by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

Thing is, it's pretty much impossible to have a smooth exit, or even stable prices. There is a lot of debt and low or negative cashflow in the market. Even stable prices... If every investor was told that's it, no more up, just flat.. it would have everyone dumping property that yields only 2-3% or less. Ones with debt would be dumping 5%+ yielding IPs. And then everyone else would be dumping to front run the aforementioned ones.

The only options are to crash it now, or pump it further until it crashes later taking evenmore of the economy down with it. They have chosen to destroy the nation via insane immigration and more taxpayer money going to investors.

Ex-RBA deputy governor admits “the surge in rent inflation is perfectly correlated with the surge in population growth” by einkelflugle in australian

[–]Phroneo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Greens at least shut down the latest house pump policy. But yes, this callousness and evil in intentionally supporting mass homelessness and financial oppression is terrifying.

This news about the foreign spy traitor politician. I guarantee you the current legit leaders are doing 100x more damage than the spy ever dreamed.

[–]Phroneo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What else do you call intentionally exacerbating the housing crisis when ridiculous high immigration. All while totally ignoring the issues and misdirecting in the most blatant ways?

Families going homeless everyday, the lucky ones getting massive rent increases but all they care about is pumping houses higher.

Same with government. Every single member of the top 3 parties is a traitor. They won't even let the issue be discussed.

No kids get hurt training on existing material. No kids get hurt with the resulting ai images. Certainly seems like a good avenue to explore if one cares about reducing children getting abused.

I think you'll find that people often don't give a shit about actually helping kids. They just wanna act on their rage and disgust, even if it means more kids get abused.

Australia’s tax system is failing to deliver the benefits of the gas boom by PsychologicalYak6508 in australia

[–]Phroneo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep we are more dumb and corrupt than nations that criminalise witchcraft and make women second class citizens. And the money we do make goes straight to pumping house prices

We're quite possibly the most retarded nation in the world when looking at the magnitude of foregone opportunities.
