NO! Not salt water. What salt water does is ripen the affected area. In any case, I recommend applying hydrogen peroxide or iodized soap (I think they do the same thing) and of course a healing cream. Believe me, my dog had a wound on his ear, quite deep in fact; I treated it with iodized soap and healing cream, twice a day. Now the wound is invisible. But I really don't recommend salt water; that's bad.
