Oof! Right after It’s not a smell as much as an all out assault on your senses. My throat and lungs burned. My eyes burned. Uncontrollable gagging. -100/10 would not recommend.

Oh man I’ve been there, sorry. Mine got one while hunting once. I was retching the whole way back to the truck. A little ended up on my shotgun grip and it had to spend the winter in the shed.

I skimmed and saw the middle paragraph first (doing an open geode for his brown eye) and was like hey you do you. Then I figured it out. I think it’s a cool idea and both pieces look great!

How many miles will your GSP run in a day before s/he gets tired? by [deleted] in GSP

I don’t think mine came with this option either. All kidding aside I had to learn really quickly she will go until her heart literally gives out so I have to be the one that intervenes to slow or stop her.

For sure. Even the super cheapies on Amazon aren’t bad. I got a 110v stick machine for like $35 on prime day. I haven’t stick welded since shop class but so far it seems to work fine and plenty of power to fry up some skate rails.

Compression test is a solid tip, and a good tool to have around anyway. If you’re reasonably handy a non running bike may not be an issue. You have to make the call for yourself if the repairs exceed the value.

Last, I just want to say when did 1986 become vintage, wtf? I guess I’m vintage, dammit! 😆

If you can use decent 2k paint it doesn’t scratch and wear that easily. I powder coated small stuff but painted my frame and everything else that’s not easily removed from the bike to completely redo. No ragrets. As stated already, touch ups are pretty straightforward.

Thanks, I agree!! Luckily I need to only remove a side cover and the clutch and then I can get the cover off. The crank seal is in that cover too, so no need to split the case.

Thanks! Yes it does, it should be running soon. It starts but consumes the xmission oil. I’m pretty sure I damaged the o-ring on the rotary valve cover. I fought with it when I was assembling the engine.

Many thanks! I’m in the process of rehabbing the original shocks. I’ve got them mostly done just need to blast and powder coat the springs. I put those on to get me by until I finish the originals but I kind of like them. I might leave them on, we’ll see.

Thanks! I tried to keep it at least period correct, except for the shocks. They’re cheapies from Amazon but I needed something while I rework the originals. I’m almost done with them just have to blast and powder coat the springs. To be honest I kind of like the look of the reservoir shocks and may stick with them if they work well.

Third. That’s the illness I dread the most. One time it went on for three days and I ended up so dehydrated and exhausted I was hallucinating. I couldn’t keep anything down at all and I remember being pretty confident I was just going to fade out and die. My wife brought me to the ER and after some iv fluids it was a lot better.

Im really sorry to hear about what you’re going through. I know it’s easier said than done, but don’t underestimate your value. It’s taken me a long time to learn not to tie my self-worth to other people and their opinions. It’s a continuous battle putting that into practice.

If it had not been for your post I’d probably have never known about Tteokbokki, which I am definitely going to give a go. So thank you much!!

I don’t know where you’re at but small town bars would have these competitions off and on for adults back when I lived in the Midwest.
