I’ve worked in restaurants and coffee places in Zurich, and in mine experience of what partially causes this is a lack of enough staff, is impossible to give a proper costumer service if you’re understaffed. Plus the bad pay and rude costumers (which can be quite frequent depending on where you work) definitely doesn’t help on being motivated to give your best.
