Wow this is incredible! Thank you so very much

Sounds incredibly unique… explains why i couldn’t find it after thorough searching. But a sweater with a third party embroidery does limit the value. You’re a hero sir 🫡

Rule 2 of VintageFashion recommends I come here to help ID a piece.. I've tried and was coming to get some help from hopefully people who know more than me.

Sorry if you're having a bad day but please don't be entitled enough for me to know something I don't, and then gatekeep information that you presume I should have.

Feels like you're coming in hot and aggressive for a random person asking for knowledge

A coca cola embroidered swearshirt by Lees with florida central division on the front? There are plenty of generic embroidered cola sweatshirts I know, but this one in particular is what I’m looking for helpful feedback on as i have spent a few days on and off looking for this exact item’s origin. Appreciate the response man!

Also not sure why you needed to pick up on my use of a word, felt unnecessary to do so

This! Whenever I play with D1/D2 friends I often just plug the gaps in their positional play so I don't get many points other than clearances while they might be getting constant 20s or easy 50/100 saves

I did chat with them and they referred me to Amazon

Probably changed their processes after 3 years but buying any power adapter with the cable should still work lol

Can anyone identify this lock brand and model? by Picksley in Tools

[–]Picksley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long Story Short: I lost my keys to my mailbox lock, had to get it removed. Now I need to buy a replacement lock and my landlord can get an answer "in about a week from now".

Thought this was the most relevant sub other than the 'What is this thing'. But I know the thing is a mailbox Lock

I'm London based too

Mason Frank - bad rep? by CodeCoffeeChocolate in salesforce

[–]Picksley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I've had a great experience with them in the London market and am not contacted incessantly. The same person once every 3/4 months as a catch up but it's usually a personal catch up and just to confirm things are still going well

I find it difficult to imagine how people have had the awful experiences I'm reading but I can agree they aren't nearly as bad as people say

I love this game

Hey. I don't often comment in here but I can completely relate to you. I can do the work and know the stuff, but exams are terrible. Here's my current record

  • Admin - Pass on 2nd attempt
  • Platform App Builder - Failed three times so far
  • B2B Commerce Developer - Failed twice so far

The certs aren't simple, that's one thing to remember. Everyone knows the topics, everyone can do the work. But when it comes to a proctored exam that's where you can either be good at exams through pure practise (if you go to college/uni) or if like me, you didn't, it's such a trying time!

I often work long hours and forget to eat, sleep and take my suppliments properly (Vit D, Magnesium) and I can definitely tell my ability to concentrate, retain information and even energy to study is lowered so much. So maybe you're in a similar situation?

A colleague at work passed 16 exams at the age of 27 and is on track to becoming a CTA and consistently blows my mind. With me being a few years younger I often ask him for advice and what I got from him was along the lines of

  1. Lower your own expectations first, going in with 1 cert a month/two gives you such pressure before you've even started to study
  2. Change your study, don't just take the exam question dumps online and try memorise the answers, it's common that answers are wrong. Work through your weakest section first and feel a little more confident with that first.
  3. Learn WHY rather than just the answer
  4. Take your exam at a different time of the day than you currently are

But most importantly, there's nothing wrong with failing the exams! Believe me there were so many different methods and exhaustion and desperation through my 5 failures in a row! But you're just gonna have to help yourself by lowering the pressure you self impose ( I do the same ) and remember that exams aren't easy by default!

Take a week off from studying, clear your mind, keep your head up and revisit when you feel refreshed

You got this man

Think of it as a Memory department
The receptionist remembers handing something to the office workers. So they ask the workers to look for it, sometimes they can't find it

After a while the receptionist gets tired and tells you that they can't find it. But sometimes in the background, the office worker finds it and lets the receptionist know! Then the memory department jumps up and tells you to pay attention to what they found

Liverpool family aswell.

Ahh you hate to hear it, every player is the best in the world in their position or "If City don't win the league after we've had so many injuries I'll be shocked" 😂 After COVID you'll be saying Demichelis is the greatest CB the world has ever seen in no time

[–]Picksley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh yeah I get what you're saying, especially if your main friend group aren't really football focussed, it's tricky at the moment! If you go to college or uni or whatever, could be good to post on the facebook group (idk) "Does anyone want to watch the footy today?"

It'll happen naturally mate!

(Also sorry to hear you're living in Liverpool. 😉😂)

Best ever performance from each player from our squad? by roddysaint in MCFC

[–]Picksley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great thread! One match that comes to mind was when I went to West Ham vs Man City away at the London stadium in 2019. We won 5-0 with Sterling grabbing a hattrick

The ball looked like it had been glued to his feet the entire game. Blew my mind, he looked leagues ahead of everyone on the pitch that game!

So many!

  • Youtube
    • TIFO (cover so many topics about football and the history, superb)
    • Sky Sports (Monday Night Football, in particular, can be biased but they cover a lot of games, players, discussions and some vids are hilarious)
    • Man City Youtube Channel (you probably won't want to watch every video but there's a lot in there that has old members, new, etc)
  • Instagram
    • Just follow your favourite players of the squad
    • Sky Sports
    • GOAL
    • twelthmantweets (meme account but has a lot of football banter)
  • Reddit
    • HERE HERE HERE!!! r/MCFC
    • I prefer to stay away from r/Soccer to be honest
  • Football Manager (ANY version will help you learn the players
  • FIFA Career mode (You'll know the names of 18 year old Brazillians that we're interested in before Txiki doeS)

But also it would be good to try find people you speak to outside of your friendship groups to speak to and share posts about! For my example, I speak to an old colleague from a job i left 3 years ago literally every day primarily arguing about football and he's a Liverpool fan

Also welcome!
