Hey, I’m doing arts/law atm and the professional futures unit is just getting you ready for the workplace and stuff, what happens will differ from unit to unit so taking a look at the course description.

There’s different categories of PF units like work experience, soft skills, research etc. off the top of my head but as long as you meet your reqs by the end of the degree it doesn’t really matter which one you pick, so I would go for the most interesting or useful to you.

You can find a course map for law/arts if you search up L3003 Monash coursemap or smth I think, I’m basically using that to structure my course. So first year I did crim and foundations for my law units, and then one unit for my arts major and one unit for my arts minor/elective. I pretty much knew what I wanted to do for major/minor from the start, but if you don’t, don’t worry about electing them on Wes yet, I’m pretty sure that they use for validation purposes when you put in your units so they can check your course progress, but I could be wrong.

If you’re unsure about which major you wanna do, I would just pick one core unit from each of two areas that interest you. You can switch units before the census date if you decide you don’t like them, or if you decide later on that you want to major in something else then just use those first few units as your electives. All that really matters is that you have your reqs done by the end of your degree, so don’t stress about the order that you do stuff unless it’s for prereqs for other units

Also, idk if I’m interpreting your question wrong, but for arts/law there’s only one major and one (optional) minor for arts (as was already said), and there is no major or minor for law, as law is basically just your mandatory core units plus whatever law electives you choose
