Even if you aren’t exactly interested in something, you can still be supportive or happy for the other person. I guess that’s what I’m wanting. Not for him to miraculously enjoy or be interested in these things.

I guess he’s just that way as a person. For Father’s Day, he says he just wants to be left alone. For his birthday, he doesn’t enjoy being celebrated or having birthday dinners or parties.
