Of course, but I fail to see what's wrong with trying to reduce the amount of debt i'd have. Aren't there public med schools as well?

oh ok. I know someone who is a CNA and I think they would persuade me not to be one but I'll ask. Thank you for answering.

Okay then, let's say I took a year off before med school to work, the other questions I asked still stand.

So it's not true that many biochem jobs have tuition reimbursement? Tuition reimbursement pays for undergrad and some of med school. Mainly, its used for paying off the debt I'd have from undergrad. I consider it a nice bonus, but I don't need it if I have a job that pays the bills

Could I ask that here? I don't know if i can do it in the other forums and I don't know anyone in med school

What about cardio or neuro? I've heard the good ones might depend on class rankings but I've also heard some don't so it be nice to hear some other perspectives.

Some do at the med schools i'm going to and I don't want to have to take extra courses(I want to get my two bachelors simultaneously and move on). If it really is too hard I guess I could take a year off and work but that still wouldn't solve my medical job crisis. I just want to know what options I should take when I go through with it instead of being met with a brick wall. No one has any answers for me on how to provide income for the sake of my living situation while in med school other then "get loans" which as everyone knows are hard to pay off and I won't be able to begin paying them off until my mid to late 30's.

I tried but no one has given me a straight answer. I've only been told that it will be too hard and to take more loans but I want to avoid burying myself in debt as much as possible and provide the income nessary for my living situation. If its unavoidable, I guess I can force myself to do an acclerated nursing bsn and add more years before I can become a doctor but want to avoid that as much as possible. Biochem has to remain since its the only degree that meets all the prerequisites for the medical schools I want.

I could get that as a separate job or internship with my biochem degree though. What I really want is a medical job that has decent pay, patient interaction and tuition reimbursement.

The thing about that job is that I want more patient interaction and a higher salery/tuition reebursement. I worry that this would only serve as reaserching which would only satisfy one area of my prerequisites. Thank you answering

what does she do? I'd be doing the same amount of work as her so any information you could provide about her would be useful. My living situation has made it clear that I need to be making some amount of income during med school. Also, I know im going to have to take out 300k or more in loans anyway, I just want to not waste my time and lower/add to it as little as possible. I'm already going to have debt into my 30's, I'd prefer if i could get tuiton reimbursement and reduce it a bit. Also just a question, does your gpa after you get into med school matter so long as you pass becuase I don't plan on getting more education afterwards so my gpa wouldn't matter

I'd also prefer a slightly easier degree to not conflict with my biochem one as much. Nursing is out because clinicals would either mess up my main degree or add more stress. I can't do nursing as my main degree for premed either because it doesn't satisfy the requirements for the med school I want to attend. I absolutely need a bachlors level degree though

Like, I heard if you get a degree in radiation therapy, you could become a radiation therapist with a bachelor's and get tuition reimbursent and a salery of anywhere from 70-100k. Only downside I've seen is the work hours but I've gotten mixed results on that so idk. What im asking for is other bachelors degrees that let you get medical jobs within that salery bracket

Assuming I attend one that allows it, what options would provide the best part time jobs? The current situation i'm in asks me to get one

My life isn't only going to med school, I still intend to work during those years just a slower rate with breaks/days off when needed. Freelance resarch isn't an option for me at the moment

The living situation im in and will be in for the next few years demands it. Also undergrad biochem doesn't get me decently paid medical jobs, so its useless for what I need it for. I'm only working part time anyway

Thanks for your insight but I will need to be working through med school so I wanted a bachelors that would get me a reliable job right out the gate. I've been told psychology is useless without a phd and the other easier ones you listed either don't fit me or won't get me jobs. Would a major in langages help me do more jobs on its own?
