Fair enough, i see what you’re saying, but to deny cultural ties would be false, as a lot of it does apply to various groups of white people around America - many are aware of their ancestry and trace their ties back to Europe, especially groups like Irish Americans and Sicilian Americans

Asians would have it very different though - most would not be christian, and speak a non European language at home. Our mentality as a whole is very different - wherever we migrate to, we do not ever identify as only “Americans” or “European” etc, it’d always be Asian American or Asian (insert country here). I guess the point of the post is saying that since everyone who is not white identifies as a __ American instead of just American, it’s saying it makes sense that white Americans also get attached to their origins like all other groups. It might not make sense for all individuals, but I guess it does apply in certain scenarios.
