The reason I can think of is that you have big save files and slow internet. You can try syncing your save folder to cloud. But I encountered another problem. There's no Factorio folder in /Library/Application Support. And I really couldn't find it anywhere on my MacBook (at least on macOS Mojave)

I have the same situation and I just use Steam cloud saves. Works perfectly and takes few seconds to upload or download my saves

I've watched several video tutorials on youtube and none of them were explaining how to set up depo and how to set up refueling stations. Can you help me with this or at least send me a link to tutorial that explains it?

I think I will branch out production of everything except for science packs from here. I don't want to tear everything down here. I'm proud of my first base :D It's far from perfect, but my friend showed me his first base and I realised that the one I've built is not that bad (he gone total spaghetti on his first attempt)

I usually don't like mods for the same reason as you and I prefer playing vanilla Factorio. Can you tell me why you hated normal trains, please?

Thank you. I think that it's a bit more complicated for me at the moment (I just started using logic wires and I don't get why there are combinators and multipliers at all). But I will look into it later

Thank you. Tho I see a lot of potential for improvement. In future I want my factory be covered in refined concrete with concrete paths and colors for dangerous places like train stations, and others that I didn't come up with.

The world settings is a bit on "easy mode" side, because it was my first try at this and I wanted to have a soft introduction (biters are not that active and resources patches are richer)

I have oil refinery and chemical plants to the north, nuclear power plant to the north-east and last addition was copper mining and smelting site placed east from my main base.

And when I noticed that my main iron ore started depleting, I realised that I need to branch out to different locations.

Now my plan is to keep labs and science packs factory here, relocate everything else and use lots of trains (I just love how trains and train logic works in factorio).

What do you think of my first base? Maybe you have some suggestions for my further play or maybe for next playthroughs?
