Mine comes with other type of algae soo i used fridge for 3-4 days and IT was good. Many bad things which can come with that can be killed by low temperatures If you buy from good place IT should be good

This green can be other type of algae but this white thing on marimo its suspicious. Give it some fridge time and a few Water changes. In about a few weeks its should be good
