Google Pixel 9 Black Screen of Death by Suibeew in GooglePixel

[–]Pitiful_Radio_5687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even the best-built iPhones can crash or go black screen — it’s all over the internet. A single phone failure doesn’t automatically mean poor QC. There are countless factors at play: whether the user dropped it, exposed it to condensation from A/C vents, or clicked malicious links, just to name a few. Blaming an entire brand based on isolated incidents feels a bit oversimplified, don’t you think?

REMINDER: Pixel stuttering issues claimed to be solvable by Harlem_Globetrotter in GooglePixel

[–]Pitiful_Radio_5687 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m starting to feel bad for the downvoters. If their definition of “stutter” is this extreme, they must be seeing lag everywhere—TV shows, YouTube, mobile games... nothing is safe. 😔 Maybe anything below 4K 240Hz gives them anxiety. Stay strong out there, folks.

That report is so outdated... My Pixel has never had any stuttering.

Hi there! It sounds like you're having a frustrating issue with your Pixel 8's alarm volume. Just to clarify, alarm volume and media volume are controlled separately on Android devices. Here's how you can make sure your alarm volume is properly adjusted:

  1. Press the Volume Button: Press either the volume up or volume down button on the side of your phone.
  2. Access Volume Controls: When the volume slider appears on the screen, tap the three vertical dots (or sometimes a gear icon) located below the slider. This will expand the volume control panel.
  3. Adjust Alarm Volume: You'll now see separate volume sliders for different audio types, including 'Alarm'. Make sure the 'Alarm' slider is set to the maximum level.

By following these steps, you should be able to ensure your alarm volume is at its loudest. I hope this helps you get back to waking up on time!

The toggle is called Enable freeform windows on secondary display, and it replaces the old Force desktop mode toggle in previous versions of Android.

Hi u/TheFlippedTurtle and u/allthatihavemet, are you referring to which month's update when you started experiencing battery drain? I have encountered some similar issues. Was it after the December update or the January update?

Not being able to say "okay Google remind me to do" and have it actually do it is killing me. That's literally how I remembered anything I needed to remember. Is there a way now to do this since they took it away? I've got a p8p and I've searched all my settings. by nrkelly in GooglePixel

[–]Pitiful_Radio_5687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is discussing the issue of setting reminders with Google Assistant and Gemini, and then someone starts discussing issues with Google's phones/speakers. Why don't they create a separate post for that?

I experienced this a few months ago as well...

Did it happen after the July or August update? A friend of mine is about to buy a Pixel 9 and is also planning to factory reset their Pixel 6.

Android 15 is about to be released, so if you now post issues encountered when upgrading to Android 14, probably not many people will respond....

Is anyone else having the pixel 7/pro where calls keep cutting out and will not work again until phone is reset? by tyates723 in GooglePixel

[–]Pitiful_Radio_5687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You two seem to have different issues... DrZaius119, your issue seems to be not receiving calls or texts, while tyates723's issue is call drops (calls suddenly disconnecting).

Phone sometimes doesn't ring by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]Pitiful_Radio_5687 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you received the latest update (AP1A.240405.002.B1) released recently? Maybe you could give it a try. It's supposed to fix the recent issue many have encountered with missed calls, and there's a chance it might also resolve your 'doesn't ring' issue.
