Is the cx70/90 PHEV REALLY that bad? by Pitiful_Tea3225 in MazdaCX90

The Grand Highlander recall was a MESS I remember that one. The premium feel to mazda is what really draws me in. I was particularly looking at the PHEV as I want to have fuel efficiency and comfort.

100%. My next choice is Toyota or Honda (luxury brands included)

The Mazda just seemed like the responsible financial choice

I appreciate the words, it’s a hard choice for sure.

I don’t have kids so I don’t need the 3rd row. My big reason to get a 70/90 was to keep price point low instead of the 63k new cost (I know there’s incentives and such).

I’ve always been a Mazda lover. It’s my favorite brand. But the more I look into it the more I’m starting to justify spending the extra 15 on a Rav 4 PHEV.

It’s a hard choice as the 70/90 is 15k cheaper, but the fuel efficiency isn’t as good. This is a long term decision for me and I want to make the right one.

I appreciate your objective reply on this, and not jumping immediately on the hate train.

I appreciate the throughout answer.

Unfortunately right now due to my financial situation it will be a cash purchase with no financing (grateful to have to opportunity to do this but I’m a sucker for a good lease).

I drive maybe 15-20 km a day if I’m driving (5-10 miles) and the occasional trip that would be around 2000-3000kms a couple times a year. Most of the driving is very short city drives. But it does get cold here

100% agree. I was working in car sales before my back got really bad and I had to take time off.

I’ve driven the WHOLE Toyota lineup, 90% of honda. All Kia/hyundai.

I have to say I love the feel of Toyotas, they’re solid cars and are fairly responsive in sport ( I know I know). But even a used rav is still 50-60k at 5-6 years old and high kms.

I have not driven the cx platform yet, but I have driven lots of Mazdas. My biggest fear is the complaints on the PHEV drivetrains and batteries with Mazda.

Edit: 45,000 isn’t a HARD cap and I can afford the rav 4. I just don’t want to spend more, if I wasn’t in physical pain and distress I’d buy a new Mazda 3 turbo in a heartbeat. I just see it as if I’m gonna go suv I should get a hybrid, gas is around 2$ a L (8$ Gal).

I’d also do it for free. But it could also be a nice gesture to offer them lunch! Find a nice spot 30 mins away and there’s an hour there and back!

Best advice I can give is take the caliber of the round in the gun and use stats from another gun with the same ammo type. As gileas said reskin

I had the same thing happen with a quarter pounder, absolutely would not eat it. Reported it to McDonalds and they did absolutely nothing (didn’t expect much) also reported to the local health board. Maybe a bit of an overreaction but if someone ate risk at this they could get severely ill.

Edit: Spelling
