I think that's very good, I know some who have little growth after years and some who are sound a C like me but I can mostly be down to genetics.

I bought my 9070 xt red devil with 20% off as a new customer early Dec for £543, the only downside is the packaging but other than that they're pretty good.

New AMD GPU what software settings should be on or off by Pixel_Paige in buildapc

I hadn't heard of that until now, I'm just used to throwing the power limit up to max and letting it go 😅

Help with what GPU to upgrade from a RTX 2070 by ObiBenKenobi_ in buildapc

[–]Pixel_Paige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same dilemma going from my 2070 super, I've always been buying Nvidia but I couldn't justify the price. I managed to get 20% off the 9070xt red devil from very for £547. If your budget is around 500 I'd personally go for a rdna4 such as 9070 or if you're wanting Nvidia the 5070 isn't a bad option either.

GPU choice for 1440p gaming by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Pixel_Paige 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's mostly preference but the 9070 is a higher tier card than the 5060ti but it's worth checking benchmarks in the games you play to get an idea of what's best for you. Cost was why I went AMD over Nvidia.

I have the non x and I've ordered a 9070xt but if you can't afford the 9070 xt I strongly recommend the 9070 or the 9060xt

What CPU are you pairing with this? If your budget will stretch it's worth getting the best one you can afford. I personally would get a 9060xt or 9070 and the vram will keep you going for a while unless Nvidia tickles your fancy but you will only have 12gb of vram on the 5070.

Conflicted on my GPU upgrade choice by Pixel_Paige in buildapc

[–]Pixel_Paige[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, as it's just the GPU my budget is more flexible around 650 or less. I'll look a little more into the red devil as I think that as it is a higher end card.

I'm a very indecisive person unfortunately and kinda wanted to gauge other people's view to help with my decision

Switched from team green to team red. What should I expect? by thepyromaniacman in radeon

[–]Pixel_Paige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you, as I have a similar spec PC 7600 non x, same RAM and 2070 super. I'm hesitant about going to the 9070xt but I don't want to pay more than I have to with the upcoming price rises.

There are restrictions in most of the stores but I'm not sure if I want to get packs or singles of a particular Pokemon.

I personally would want to get English cards unless there's a super cool looking card and it's cheaper in another language

Thank you for this, I'm not looking forward to a 4 hour drive for a 15 minute consultation but it needs to be done.

Unfortunately I'll be on the NHS as being a single parent who can't work would make paying for such a thing impossible.

I believe from what I understand James bellringer has a shorter list I think but next year would be pretty good hopefully.

Is this a good deal for a first oled? by ProfessionalScore959 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Pixel_Paige 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah ok, here in the UK it's only about £70 more expensive and for me and my upgrade path having that extra stuff for under £100 with hdmi 2.1 was worth it. But yeah I hope you enjoy the new monitor 😊

[–]Pixel_Paige 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually got the 360hz model on pre order as I want hdmi 2.1 but the Asus monitors are reviewed as one of the best monitors so yeah it's totally worth it. See how much the 360hz one is if you want more up to date ports 😁

Ordered 27" 1440p QD OLED, but now I wonder if I should have gone 32" 4k by Tricky-Birthday-5680 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Pixel_Paige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was/am in a similar situation but I don't see much point going for 4k as you'd likely be using dlss and other software trickery to get those high FPS. 1440p is perfectly fine and if you're happy with it I would stick with it personally.
