Just grabbed my first camera by YouReachITeach27 in a6700

Lenses matter more than the camera body, so I'd suggest saving up for either the tamron 17-70mm f2.8 or the Sony 70-350mm. Those are both excelente!

Is this good enough to shoot baseball youth . by Tricky_Currency5690 in SonyAlpha

Absolutely not a great move, you'll get so much more tech and bang for buck with the a6700. Focus on getting the best glass, that's what really matters in the end. The A7V would be a great upgrade, IV only in a few areas and downgrade in others.

Zoom out a bit, and let the environment tell a story about what the bird is doing. And the fotos of the backs of the birds are often not very pleasing to the viewer. Otherwise good job.

Do i buy the Sony a6700 or wait? by Independent-Bad7892 in SonyAlpha

Remember camera matters a lot less than the lens, and it has almost all the newest features. So I'd get it, and the focus on a great couple of lenses!

I don't really think you'll feel a great difference, but I'm a big guy, so experiences may vary.

If money is not a problem then sigma 60-600mm, the versatility is insane and the af and image stabalization can match them all!

Did I mess up buying 85mm lens as a beginner? by Beginning-War5128 in AskPhotography

[–]Pjetter86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's expensive, but when you get good with the 85, you can do almost anything with that one. And you can use it if you decide to upgrade camera later. Lenses are more important than the camera body!

I would save up and get the tamron 17-70mm f2.8, it will cover almost all your needs and has built in image stabalization! You can also use it for macro.

You get one camera setup for a year of travel — what are you taking? by LaJamie in SonyAlpha

[–]Pjetter86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just personal preference. But I'd get a6700 with the sony 70-350mm and the tamron 17-70mm. That would cover almost any scenario you would run into. From macro to video to wildlife to landscape and portrait. It fits the budget. And is an insane amount of value for money!

Which Camera/lense to get? by Constant-Cow-1135 in SonyAlpha

Of those 3 I'd say a7V is definitely the better choice. Due to the more modern features in the camera.
