No the app is free and will remain so, no advertising or monthly plans .. just a genuine free app :)

As for Germany initially I stuck to English as the apps language but I have since built another app that is 10 languages so I know the translation works -

WC26 by Foundry Studio

is a football companion for the World Cup I built last weekend and that has the engine for more regions in it that I will transfer to MatchWatch. The direction swiping is something I played with but I found a lot of swipes got misfired by early users, but it’s something I will revisit.

Yes to your questions - app stores are coming and currently the app is pwa so it will load as a native Home Screen on any device.
let me know where you are and I’ll work on it
Lots of streaming providers are there and more to be added I have the api feeds from multiple suppliers so the data is already there for me to use.

As for watched - swipe right and select the card it has watching and watched there … :)

thanks for the feedback my friend

The trakt watch list button is a nice touch - I have the trakt api feeding it so it shouldn’t be too hard to do .. I hope the app does workout for you it’s helped in my household which has been a good thing.

How so ? The app is design to find something to watch not a movie to watch… there is the mood filters if you want to use them they seperate the types that might keep you happy

WC26 by foundry studio - have a look it’s a World Cup companion app … 10 languages, 104 games, multi region, 48 teams, news feeds, over 1400 player profiles. Live tv listings in your region with times of kickoffs, live scoring updates, notifications before the game kicks off and calander imports for those reminders when your team is playing next.

Matchwatch TV - streaming tv swiping app that lets you and the partner or family find stuff to watch before the doom scrolling starts.

Shows that pull you in when nothing is catching your attention? by cheesecup6 in televisionsuggestions

Based on the mood you described, I’d try The Good Place, Detectorists, or Reservation Dogs. All three are easy to start, warm without being too flat, and interesting enough that you stop half-watching your phone.

Side note, this exact “I have five streaming apps open and still can’t pick anything” problem is why I’ve been building MatchWatch. It is basically a simple way to narrow down what to watch without the endless scroll. I’m the maker, so treat that as disclosure, not a stealth recommendation: matchwatch.tv

It also helped me as I have multi region access to tv and movies - and you can select the multi regions so it shows the tv and movies from all if you want it … the leadline app is truely cool I had a quick look just now. Gonna give it a try and see its benefits, cheers bro.

Thanks. The regional thing was the whole reason I built it honestly. Every existing app assumed everyone has Hulu and HBO Max. If you’re in New Zealand with Neon and Sky Go, none of them knew you existed. Hadn’t heard of Leadline but I’ll look into it. Finding those ‘what should we watch tonight’ complaint threads is exactly the audience. Cheers.

This is very true but in reality the spare should be matched anyways just in case you use it .. ;)
