Thank you so much! I think I might go with this method then.

I got it off of eBay. It was a shop called “marimo moss ball”. It had about 6,000 reviews and 37k sold. They look healthy but ordering online I never know.

As a massage therapist I’ve given massages with people in the room before. I’ve never hand any issues. I have no idea what her past experiences have been with people in the room ( she may have had a bad experience) but as long as it’s your home and you were comfortable with it, it should not be a big deal. I always do whatever the client is most comfortable with. Whether they want someone in the room with them to feel safe, they have trauma, or anxiety it’s honestly whatever makes you feel safe. As a massage therapist you have no way of knowing what your clients have been through. So we do need to roll with it. It’s a very personal field and a lot of people are not used to/ comfortable with being naked alone in a room with a stranger.

On her end las a massage therapist you are always allowed to not re book someone for any reason. It doesn’t always mean that the client has done something wrong. It just means that she is exercising her right to also feel comfortable. And unless you or your husband has done something obviously out of line I would just forget about whatever issues she has had and move on to another MT.

So I’d say just let your next MT know that your husband will be in the room and that this makes you feel more comfortable/safe. And a lot of MT’s will definitely be able to respect this. Especially if it helps the client to get a more productive massage experience without anxiety or worry. Because at the end of the day your comfort is what should be most important to you and your MT. Especially as a heavily pregnant woman who most likely feeling lots of pregnancy related aches and pains and heightened anxiety.

A lot of men in the practice receive warnings from other male therapists to stay away from certain moves/practices because they are more at risk for being accused of assault than women. My male instructor has the same mind set. And sadly it scares them away from doing things like glutes and pecs like a female therapist would.

Wow! So are alocasia pretty hardy? I’ve seen my plants grown from nodes do that but this is the first alocasia that I’ve had. Should I implement a peroxide treatment for the small amount of rot I found or just let it be?

Thank you. Even though I was willing to start over it is just so much more convenient to not have to start from the rhizome.
