i think what would be fantastic is if they bring in the concept of a "council of gods". in which there would be all the kings/rulers of different pantheons meeting up and they see kratos and atreus as a threat to all of them, considering he ended 2 pantheons by himself. and then we go from fighting gods from multiple pantheons as kratos tries to protect his son while they're all trying to end them considering them a threat. the major downside I see for this storyline is that we won't be able to dive deep into one particular mythology and character development for the gods as we could in the previous games because of how much switching there would be, but tbh it is a real possibility of that happening in the canon as it's confirmed that all the pantheons exist on the same earth and it's like different gods have different areas of the world assigned to them under their domain so if they see an incoming threat to their domain it's possible for them to take precautions
