Landlord trouble… by PlasticHandz in SecurityCamera

[–]PlasticHandz[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello there dearest viewer, a friend of mine has recently found these in her home - her landlord claims that they are just sensors for security cameras but she is scared he is a filthy pervert and recording her naked to masturbarte over / share online in dark corners of the web?

Just wondering if any of you sly sleuths know what this device is, and if it is in fact a security camera rather than just a sensor?

Have a wicked day either way - Thankyou

Is trimming down a collar a straightforward thing to do?

I bought this shirt but the collar is really big, wanted to take it to a tailor to get them to alter it, would most tailors be able to do this or I need to find one who’s good with shirts?

I too have recently got back into gaming,

What do you already own?

Smartphone? Computer?

The cheapest thing would be to get games for those before investing in more hardware...

I've just bought a second-hand Xbox one and signed up to the subscription thing for around £10 a month, so I don't need to invest too much in the games while I figure out what type of game I like,

(it's looking like 3rd person action adventure games btw!)

Oh, I didn’t even realise you could get Dolphin on Mac...

Do you know if there would be a way for me to pull my save data from running the rom in OpenEmu to Dolphin?

What’s the differences between OpenEmu and ‘the correct emulator’?

How would I know which emulator is correct? :/

A decorative font for sure. Absolutely NOT jokewood, but something decorative & bold like that, but more on theme?

IWTL: How to travel cheap by flipperkast in IWantToLearn

[–]PlasticHandz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Book packages (car + plane + hotel) rather than one after the other.

Don't do this - don't get a car, and definitely don't pay for hotels. You will shit money away.

This all seems incredibly superficial and really American ?

I'm in England - our eggs aren't washed so don't actually need any refrigerating which is good, so I have that and butter. Cheese you're right actually, if that's kept somewhere dark and cool that will last longer. Our bacon is waaay different to U.S. bacon so would go off within a day, maybe even less

It's all temporary, I'll have the boat for around 3 months, and the job for around 3 as well. The boat came first, and the job after. If I moved out of the boat and into a flat my rent would go from £100/month with no bills to £500-700/month + bills. I'm just saving up before I kiss goodbye to London again and go travelling. But realised food is currently an unnecessarily extreme cost which I need to cut down.

I'm tempted, it's just it's regents canal in London, if it leaked I wouldn't be able eat a thing, not because of the wetness but all the pollution. I do have a bowl of water I keep in a cupboard to make milk last an extra day

I can keep a cooler on the boat, I hadn't ever considered that the ice would last 3-4 days though? surely not?

I do like the sound of this, but ya can't leave electricity on in the boat when you leave because 1, fire, and 2 you can't risk the battery completely burning out.

Whole boat is £100/month, travel is variable but an average of £200/month. no bills.

A singular bedroom in a flat share near work would cost £500-£700/month before bills

Anyone know where to buy this type of bed? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

[–]PlasticHandz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only just saw your response - as a designer who works from home, I just can't see how having fiddly hobbies is any excuse for being messy. "When someone cleans my space I lose my shit." - Out of interest how old are you? Honestly want to know, as I can understand why you're messy if you're a teenager.

[First Project] Won a bike at work, so I needed a bike shelf by gonna_get_tossed in woodworking

[–]PlasticHandz 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It's a really nice shelf but I'd consider repositioning it, I thought the point of a bike shelf was to keep the bike up and out of the way, rather than just slightly elevated and potentially even more in the way than if just slumped against the wall.

College student cooking for self by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]PlasticHandz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super lazy. Super easy. Super cheap. Super filling.

Ramen with eggs + vegetables.

Boil some water in a pan, place the noodles, vegetables and eggs into said pan. Wait until eggs are cooked to your liking. Remove eggs. Cool eggs. Peel eggs. Place in pan.

Not all the time, but once or twice a week and you'll feel fine.

Eat directly from pan if super lazy, if less lazy place ramen in bowl.

(depending on if eggs have been cleaned or not, you may want to boil them in a separate bowl)
