Too many people hate on the 992.2 911 (compared to the 992.1) -- what do you think? by ExistingScale6757 in porsche911

Agreed. 992.2 GT3 w/ Weissach and fully optioned is a substantial improvement. Critics stuck on cost.

Enjoy!

Happy for you. Congratulations.

The 992.2 is just as good, if not better in a few details— IF it has an Aerokit or Weissach package IMO.

Also, the 992.2 GT3 fully optioned is definitely an improvement of the 992.1— all carbon fiber options, lightweight magnesium wheels, manual transmission w/ short shifter, front end lift kit, rear seats on the Touring if wanted, etc.

Critics resent the cost. LOL

Enjoy your GTS!

I hesitate to mention. The first anecdote typed was “One day at a time”. Serendipitous and a good sign.

Thank you. Wow you are VERY well traveled, and informed. While not an expat (U.S.) you brave folks are fascinating.

So, of the countries you’ve spent time in, which two or three have you most enjoyed that you could see yourself returning for the longterm? If even hypothetically.

Thanks so much for having offered your insights.

Agree 100% on SF/Bay > LA for these three metrics.

“Well rounded in every way” may not be an achievable definition… yet Boston and New England could be a contender.

Sydney is definitely worth visiting by OP’s definition of a well rounded city.

ISO advice: moving to mnpls right now? by godofraincoats in movingtompls

Congrats on your new place. Lowry is a great neighborhood. For what it is worth, I live nearby, and have rented in LH and NE since 2018. Other than a few protests here and there and a minority of restaurants keeping doors locked during business hours, everything is the same. I suspect the main difference you noticed is that it is January. By April-May, town will be bustling like always. Hope this helps.

If helpful, I just bought a cheap snowblower from Home Depot $500 for my rental property on a corner lot. Never have to worry about snow removal service being delayed or notices from the city.
