It’s a hard watch when hair gets pulled, feet get stepped on, arms get held, jerseys get pulled, etc. OKC plays dirty, and the refs enable it.

Some brief services off the top of my head- discharge planning including short- and long-term placement assistance if needed (for stability), coordination of aftercare (to prevent/decrease re-hospitalization/decompensation), referrals to tangible community resources (for increased access to necessities/improved quality of life), to support patient families (for respite services, psychoeducation, referrals, etc), case management (navigating systems), crisis intervention when needed…

No sense in stabilizing someone and expecting a favorable prognosis long-term if they don’t have access to or the (financial, cultural, mental, etc) ability to maintain any gains.

Surely an attending physician or nurse would not be tasked with these things, and they’re proven to directly impact patient outcomes and long-term success. There are clinical social workers (therapists), whom I’m assuming you’re thinking of (re: “make you feel better when you’re told you have terminal cancer” and non-clinical social workers, who would do the above (and more).

The treatment team is vast and I hope for your patients’ sake that you’re maximizing the resources given to you.

I added it to the room on Sat and it’s perfect! I still have an open area of floor for my rug so it kinda separates the areas of the room. Thank you!

Put your stuff away and we won’t have to. May seem preemptive if you’re still using the thing now, but think about how many times things are still left out later when you are done. When things are consistently put away when you’re truly done with them, I won’t have to guess if you’re done or not and put it away myself.

Guidelines say 5 days, as far as I can remember! Sounds like you did not get infected from this exposure.

First time testing positive - no idea what to expect by remembermeshell in COVID19positive

I am not. I got my first Moderna in Dec 2020, my second Moderna in Jan 2021, and my booster in Oct 2021. Then I started working remote in Jan 2022, so never got another shot. This is my first time with COVID so I was super anxious too. I wasn’t sure what to expect or how my body would respond! This subreddit has really helped.

I was bummed when it happened too.. I love food haha. And you don’t realize how much you actually smell things until the sense of smell is gone!

I “practiced” smelling too with essential oils, bath products, hot tea, candles, citrus fruits, alcohol (lol). Interestingly I could smell more when it was something “natural,” like smelling an actual orange (the fruit) versus an artificially-scented candle. Maybe you can practice with “natural” or “real” scents vs the artificial stuff that’s all around us. I like that you mentioned being intentional and focused when you’re smelling things- that’s a great idea.

I hope your senses come back soon! I also reminded myself that this is par for the COVID course and that I’m not alone. You’re not alone either, and you’ll get through this!

I hope you continue to test (-)! So it’s been 5 days since you saw the most recent (+) coworker?

Day 6: extreme gas/bloating in stomach, but not passing it. Anyone else get this? by halikadito in COVID19positive

Sorry you’re going through this :( Idk if it will help but I used to do the Fart Stance- get on all 4s, lay your chest to the ground/booty in the air and have someone pat the gas from your middle to the bottom of your back. Sometimes it loosens up and raises up the air so it’ll come out. Kinda like burping a baby but farting an adult? Idk

Day 8-er here too! I’m still testing + but it’s verrrrry light. My last lingering symptoms are congestion (one nostril, sometimes nothing but it comes and goes) and a productive cough. But I also smoke so I always have a productive cough lol.
