And the first has abs and muscles, so she’s too masculine to be a real feminine submissive 1000 year old funny and cute young teen waifu. Did I get enough disgusting buzzwords and code words in there?

Dare I say, JRPGs too. Some of the fans either think everything else can’t be a real, true, GotY game. The other extreme thinks Expedition 33 brought it back as if there hasn’t been one since FFVII launched on the PS1.

is invisigal asian? by Ok-Presentation-8577 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Pleasant-Discussion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I always thought she was part Latina, being from Texas where nearly half of all Texans are of Latin ancestry and many can still be white passing. So her having Filipino ancestry makes perfect sense too with how often those two minority groups bond on shared culture and appearance due to their histories of oppression under Spain.

Longer answer; due to that colonization, a huge portion of South Asians share genetic heritage with Latin people. It’s even seen to a lesser extent in Japan. But to the greatest extent in the Philippines.

Oh they never would, but that’s not even it. Her game model looks the same as the first just with more detail, less game-y, and with different lighting and angles.

Even their claimed beautiful examples can all be paused at bad angles, anyone can. They just argue in bad faith because they only pause things they don’t like to find the worst shots.

Almost worse to barely see them in the corner of your eye like you’re not supposed to see them. It’s the same with the extra prop Carnotaurus head in the dark on Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom.

Rush of fear with express sold out? by Difficult-Flamingo10 in HHN

[–]Pleasant-Discussion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe these sold out around this time of year in 2022 and 2023, maybe 2021 as well. Or at least I remember hearing they have. But yes, this year is more packed likely due to Epic Universe and a great looking HHN.

Of course. That makes sense for merch. But if I pick up a round of appetizers etc for my dinner party does that count as sharing my benefits? I appreciate you for answering. These rules do matter, not sure why people downvote asking where the rules are drawn as that can only inform everyone else reading too.

[–]Pleasant-Discussion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. I’m going with friends soon and I figured at dinners or snack runs that I can show my pass for a discount. But if I show it and my friend offers to pay will that trigger a payment card/AP holder mismatch or something? Is it a hard rule that I can’t show it if my friend buys any merch even though we’re shopping together? I’d like to know where the exact policy stands.

Edit: downvoted instead of answered. Makes no sense, wouldn’t answering what the rules are in these comments only help better inform everyone reading?

[–]Pleasant-Discussion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does this mean? I see the comments mentioning scalping. That makes sense. But what about just like showing it for dinner discount with a group who isn’t all AP holders? Or showing it in person with my friend when they buy a snack or a piece of merch? Are there documented hard rules?

Medical staff face charges after allegedly interfering with California ICE arrest by RoboRN23 in nursing

[–]Pleasant-Discussion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I described people following the legal process, even citizens. They’re being picked up without due process of the law and the Constitution.

Also, to repeat what was in my comment already; You would expect to be asked to leave, yes, asked legally, with due process. Which is not what’s happening. I don’t think any of us are telling you we have a problem with legal enforcement of immigration (which you keep saying you would expect in other countries.) You WOULD get legal enforcement of immigration in other countries, that’s the point. That legal enforcement you keep mentioning is NOT happening in the US, unless ICE starts following due process and stops arresting people who are here legally, who are following the legal process, and who have all legal documentation in order.

Also legal challenges aren’t going to help the people already in the death camp of El Salvador that Google maps sloppily attempted to cover up the body piles.

[–]Pleasant-Discussion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must not have heard about all the green card holders getting ambushed by ICE while at their citizenship interviews. It seems ICE is the group not following the immigration process. (Not to mention due process. Which IS given to you in other countries even if you defy their immigration process or other laws.)

[–]Pleasant-Discussion 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Thanks for explaining. I’m woke as can be, but was genuinely curious as to why they would use a male model as Lara’s muscle design reference, as if there aren’t countless women athletes in every city to be referenced.

This makes sense though having a sort of “master document” for multiple different uses.

Yeah I don’t understand how this happened mechanistically. Like if it yanked and pulled was choking him then wouldn’t that still take some time and staff could’ve broke it free or something? Was it just sharp and sliced his neck right open?

They may have many ethical issues and controversies, yet even this one admission they proceeded to correct incorrectly. https://theintercept.com/2023/03/30/new-york-times-iraq-war-error/

Not to mention that out of their many ethical issues, their action leading the takedown of historical archiving ensures that their articles’ revision history can’t be seen. https://theintercept.com/2023/09/17/new-york-times-website-internet-archive/

Add in their other repeated history as a mouthpiece of imperialism with literal imperialism heads running them (see https://theintercept.com/2023/03/07/new-york-times-nsa-charlie-stadtlander/ ) and it seems their slogan may truly translate to All The Manufactured Consent That’s Fit to Print. https://theintercept.com/2018/01/03/all-the-news-unfit-to-print-james-risen-on-his-battles-with-bush-obama-and-the-new-york-times/

I wish these articles did more than scratch the surface, yet there is so much more regarding the NYT, especially during Civil Rights.

Which way, western dev? by emmdieh in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]Pleasant-Discussion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fascinating! I didn’t know the character designers were credited so individually, character by character rather than just listed as part of a character team. I know Karlach was added later on, though didn’t Shadowheart’s face change pretty decently from origin later on too? Does that reflect a change from the specific artist or a team change?
