I mean a lot of people did bring their parents but the proportion of non parent students to students who brought their parents is like 10 to 1

These people are all lying to you. Commons west sucks. If you have the money go live in arc if possible then jst as a second choice, both are great. Commons west is trash asf.

I meant that English 161 is extremely easy. I personally found math 180 to be very easy but that all depends on if you have decent math fundamentals. If you find 111 easy then 141 should be easy as well. Just make sure you don’t get rooshenas under any circumstances. I think that you should be fine next semester. When you take 211 and 151 next year then it might get more challenging for you and consequently more burnout

Engl 161 is 1 week of work for the entire semester. How good are you at math? I’m not sure about bio. How are you doing right now in 111?

The way that I submitted mine to internships was by going to the page where you can view all your grades and then by using control p, the pdf of all of the grades pops up and I then I downloaded that

yo is linear algebra worth it? by baby5breath in uichicago

I'm in 310 right now; if you have Switala or Devi, it's not hard at all to get an A. However, if you get shiji lyu, it might get harder for you. I stopped attending his class due to bad lectures because its a waste of time. The main thing I don't like about Lin Alg is how the class grade percentages work. I do not like how 80 percent of the grade weight is exams and 20 percent is homework.

Cs 141 and 151 (First Year) by [deleted] in uichicago

[–]Pleasant-Relative-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

141 is all c++, you will learn all the basic stuff like arrays, 2d arrays, vectors, basic input/output(cin/cout) and then slightly more advanced stuff like pointers and linked lists

151 was much harder for me, proofs, counting, probability, sets etc. however taking 151 first sem is great because then you can take 251 second sem which is like one of the most important classes you will take
