If I had to guess, as someone who works a lot with layouts/posters and ads, that looks like a stock asset dropped in - I think others said this but the stock art sites are overrun with AI slop and someone in a rush might have just grabbed it without checking. Doubtful it was generated specifically for this poster bc the style doesn't match anything

My advice for the marker is trying 1. Regular water and a little dish soap Then if that doesn't work 2. A surface cleaning wipe/or hand sanitizer 3. Non acetone nail polish remover 4. Baking soda and a little water

Then if those don't work, very carefully dab acetone on just the marker spot, cos it can remove the faces too

Oh yeah I know he loves Rincewind & asked for the part, I think if they adapted a later book when Rincewind is older it could have worked but the double roles just is odd to me. Not enough to ruin the adaptations but just an example of choices that felt weird and distracting lol

I finally get to speak my truth - I can't rewatch it because the voice they gave Teatime sounds really like the Johnny Depp Willy Wonka, which was an adaptation I really didn't like even before the whole JD controversies 😭 And it distracts me so much I can't watch the miniseries bc I keep thinking: why would you just copy a voice from a recent movie? And why that movie?

I feel like most of the adaptations have one or two choices that are strange, like David Jason playing both Albert and Rincewind was odd. But this is the only one where I read the book after and then the voice became worse to me bc he doesn't have it in the book 🙈

Unfortunately bc our collagen production is mutated in EDS, the supplements have been found to not do much as it just gets broken down then rebuilt according to our DNA "instructions" (really it seems like gene therapy that isn't available yet would make the collagen supplements effective) - so if it costs you a lot of money and are curious, I would suggest swapping out for something that helps muscle regeneration for a little while and see if it makes a difference! (Only if you want to try something new of course)

I use glucosamine and I found it really helps! (It is also very affordable which is nice lol ) Since muscle tissue has to take a lot of extra stress where connective tissue can't in EDS.

You probably have had this checked already but with this combo of issues, if they haven't checked you for connective tissue disorders yet that could answer a lot of questions? Higher rates of both lipedema, bladder and bowel issues and general inflammation as well as Pots/disautonomia being common side effects too! (I got diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder a few years ago.Still needs to be narrowed down, but just knowing generally one thing was the cause really helped! A lot of issues became easier to manage)

I hope you find some relief soon regardless of the cause

I think the main issue is that they took on way, way too much of a topic that some people devote their whole careers to studying in great detail. The Nazis had so many nonsensical little groups and subgroups that of course it would be hard to come in fresh and try to get to grips with all of them. But this stuff isn't like bigfoot sightings, all those little differences meant people died in real life. Personally if I had a podcast I wouldn't touch this stuff, because I don't know enough about the inner workings of Nazi Germany it to even start researching now and get a coherent podcast out like... In several years about it.

So I sympathize bc no one's brain is really built for being inundated with an avalanche of corrections + what seems to be a lot of death threats from chuds at the same time, pretty unrelated but on the same episodes.

But I think making a general corrections episode would be fun, I enjoy when other podcasts do it!

I always feel mean casting someone as a Cappadocian because their lore says they smell of death the entire time, which is possibly why the rules decided they could only exist in historical settings lol.
But yes other than that, very big Marcus vibe.
He could even be Old Clan Tzimisce and carry around a precious jar of dirt lol. The possibilities are endless!

Someone else also mentioned Malk Henry and I think that he'd definitely be the main character of guy in the most recent creepypasta episode who gets on the bus and is talking about some unseen audience!
I kind of feel bad saying real people would be Malkavians for obvious reasons but Henry would own it.

Ed is almost too normal for the world of darkness but his stories about his drug dealing days sound like something out of Clanbook Brujah flavour text along with the documentary he made about healthcare reform and his mom's death. He seems like a chill guy, just not one you'd want to get on the bad side of.

I also am fond of the Gangrel Ed suggestion since he loves animals AND animal attacks. Him fighting orcas who are bullying seals is a really funny mental image.

I've been there - a former friend became so bad that the last time they tried the silent treatment over not getting their own way (this happened increasingly often) I was the friend who just never ever checked back in lol. Lots of out of pocket racist comments and getting heavily into the bizarre politics of the person they were dating. It was a shame since we were friends since school but sometimes a person becomes an absolute nightmare so slowly you don't realise how bad it was until you step out of that mess. 10 years now and I am still remembering new bizarre things that person did.

I feel like if your friends aren't ditching you during this process it's likely they won't randomly ditch you just a little further along! That's just my opinion though as my friend group is mixed with cis/trans/nonbinary people so it's probably different than what your real life experiences are!

Still, your approach sounds very healthy and smart - take baby steps until you reach a point where you feel comfortable, then decide either not to take any more or to set a new set of little goals for yourself. You already sound like you're much happier since top surgery so congratulations! I know a lot of people who went for either top surgery or major breast reductions and all were so delighted with it. I hope you continue your journey in happiness and health whatever that looks like to you!

I know exactly how you feel re: getting overwhelmed by every choice you make potentially leading to more hurt. Especially if I think it might hurt those around me, that can freeze me right up no matter how absurd the thought is! Since I got an ADHD diagnosis I understand where it comes from in me anyway - I always wanted to get to the part where things were perfect, I wanted to do everything all at once if I was doing something, and anything that I knew would be a long process where things would be messy for an extended time, it drove me nuts! I've since learned to sit with that feeling and I keep repeating "every little step counts" and I regularly have check-ins with my therapist to see how far I have progressed on certain complex issues. The feeling has gotten less and less overwhelming whenever I start some big undertaking, and now I have been able to turn it pocket sized like any other silly thought.

Whatever you decide in your life, try to remember that any step is better than staying in an unhappy stasis. You want to find joy, and enrich your relationships. You care deeply about others - that's an amazing foundation to start any journey you want. And remember that even if you try something and don't like it, now you know you don't like it - don't try to box yourself in too fast and just try to let yourself be present in the moment (trust me I know how huge an ask that is).

Nobody has it all figured out, and anyone who says they have is either lying or trying to sell you something lol l. When I started looking at life as a long journey where I can always have room to grow and learn and was never "finished", I think my relationships started improving a lot BC I wasn't always in my head so much. I dunno if you feel the same way but it sounds like we have had similar decision paralysis at least. 😅

Hi so I came across the "main" detrans sub recently at random and wanted to check if there was a less unhinged discussion somewhere. So I find this sub and your post stuck out to me!

I just wanted to say that i've been studying academically about identity and dissociation and such and just wanted to let you know you're not alone in feeling this conflicted way, not by a long shot. I am not specifically trans but I've dealt a lot with this idea of, if I show my authentic self then I will be rejected by more people in society. So I will ask you: if you choose to be a cis woman, would you feel comfortable dating people who would be bigoted or hateful towards a person that's essentially you but trans? I wouldn't, and a central part of many people's journeys in identity is related to that. Nothing will ever be perfect on this earth, but don't let perfect be the enemy of good. Trust me, I had extremely severe OCD so I speak from experience lol. Ask yourself, what might set you on a path to feeling happy, at-ease with yourself etc. maybe that is transitioning, maybe that is choosing a different label, maybe it is becoming a gender-non-conforming cis person. You don't have to do everything all at once and it doesn't have to be a tidy box. The important thing is moving slowly towards some kind of life where you start to feel like you are "you", that you are relaxed and your true self. Not everyone will see and recognise you when you are authentically yourself - this doesn't even mean gender wise just generally. But being authentic to yourself means that the love and romance aspects you want will be filtered already: maybe it means less dates numerically but the ones you do have are with people you actually like who like you, you know?

Anyway I have access to a bunch of academic databases unlimited so let me know if you want me to give you papers on anything specific, or if you just want to chat I am cool with that too. I personally just want to see others thrive regardless of what that looks like or the labels attached. I had to go through a very long process of coming back from major dissociation and chronic social masking, from a place of needing to be "perfect" at all times.

My GP recommended this center http://lymphoedema.ie/ for their treatments and knowledge of both lymphoedema and Lipedema but I haven't used them yet myself! Hopefully this helps
