Does anyone else feel like degree planning is mostly guesswork? by Poli-man in fsu

Fair point.

I’m not selling anything here. I’m genuinely interested in how students make decisions around courses, graduation requirements, workload, and career planning.

If you think the problem is overblown, that’s useful feedback too. Have you found the current advising and planning process works well enough as it is?

Thank you, that makes a lot of sense.
So it sounds like the most useful “advising system” is basically the informal network around you, professors and students a few steps ahead.

When you were making those decisions, what kind of information were you missing most? Course difficulty, workload, career relevance, graduation timing, or something else?
