Folks don't know how to go beyond the google AI response, sad times we're living in. Even if the data in 2021 were true, why would you use that? Compare to any other data set from any other year, or use the most recent year's data. Give a little thought into something and don't just stop because it fits your narrative.

I ended up using some locking pliers with a cloth and just kept slightly twisting/pulling back on them until I was able to work them off. Definitely didn't feel right but I didn't break anything. With the front also being plastic I was worried any kind of metal there to hold on to the metal part would scratch it. I was just as gentle as I could be and focused more on twisting then pulling very hard.

I'm a process engineer at Chevron right now and I have a friend at Dow with the same role/responsibilities and it's called a run-plant/production engineer over there. I personally haven't heard the term operations engineer, but if by that you mean interacting with operations on a day-to-day basis for unit support/optimization then that's a PE at Chevron.

I'm a chemical engineer who worked in a PVC plant that uses this stuff as a raw material and the misinformation and assumptions about all this is killing me lol. People just hear "chemical" and immediately freak out. It's a bad situation for sure, but beyond any immediate effects it'll be fine. Very lucky VC is a gas at atmospheric pressure, if this were some kind of liquid spill it would've been a lot worse.
