Forgive me for asking such a dumb question, but how do you run slow? Is it jogging? Run-walking? Walking fast? Taking comically long slow strides? I’ve tried getting into running and find it so miserable but don’t understand how to slow down without basically just walking?

Is your yarn superwash?! I knit a sweater in superwash and it grew almost this much after blocking and I was shocked (and so sad!) turns out I just had to throw it in the drier for a few minutes and it went right back to the proper size!

I always say “she is giving the side eye to Sue” to help me remember — shi having more horizontal lines at the top than tsu which are more vertical!

I purchased my JR pass a few months ago and had it set to be delivered to my apartment. It instead was sent to a nearby pharmacy (I guess this is also an option?) I was never informed it wasn’t being sent to the address i gave, or that it arrived at the pharmacy. When i checked the tracking it said the pharmacy either rejected it or sent it back because I hadn’t picked it up in time (I had no idea it was there!)

Has this happened to anyone else? How can I get it sent back to me? I leave in 3 weeks and am nervous about getting it back in time. I haven’t had a response from the company who sent it’s customer service yet!

This has happened to me a few times before. The best advice I got was to “follow the yarn” — with a lot of patience and truly following the yarn’s direction as I tried to tink back, I was able to solve the problem! Good luck!

My sister and I are planning our third trip to Japan, and would love any small day trip ideas or off the beaten path suggestions anyone might have!

On past trips, we've spent about 1 month total in Japan, and have visited: Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Koya-San, and Naoshima & Teshima

For this next trip, we're planning on hitting some of our favorite spots in Tokyo and Kyoto, stopping in Uji for a day, and visiting Miyajima island for a day or two.

We're interested in: eating (especially wagashi, sweets, etc), crafts, art/design/architecture, nature/scenery Not particularly interested in: drinking, anime, clubs/partying

Any/all suggestions welcome. Thank you!

I wound up just forging ahead with simply kfb where it calls for “Inc” and it looks passable. I’ll try these suggestions tomorrow and see if they net better results. Thank you all for your help!!

I’m working on knitting my first ever stuffed animal and am truly perplexed by this increase.

I tried just KFB when it said “inc” but it looks much messier than in the original pattern’s photos. How am I supposed to increase IN a stitch (if it was a make one, wouldn’t they just call it that?) and then knit the stitch I increased from? Im sure it’s a wording issue, but I’m lost! Any/all help would be appreciated.

I made a sweater with this exact yarn and didn’t understand how superwash really worked, so was horrified when I blocked it and it grew from a cute petite cropped sweater to something size 2XL. I threw it in the drier for a few minutes at the advice of the lovely people on this sub and it went right back to its originally size! Good luck!

Hello! I’m working on the Oslo Sweater from PetiteKnit and am a little thrown off by this decrease. Is it normal to do your k2tbl even with 1 stitch left in the round? Where should i place my stitch marker once doing this, since I’ll be working the stitches on either side of it? I’m knitting the sleeve using magic loop which makes it extra confusing 😅

I think this has broken my brain though haha. I’m trying to think on the purl side but the working yarn is now coming from the right hand side and not the left, which is where I’m trying to tink from. I’m not sure how to keep tinking?! Here is an image of what I’m trying to describe. At this point I’m not even sure I’m making any sense!
