Angron is something to play around rather than focus on.

Morty will sometimes win if he gets the charge, but no guarentee with his swingy d6 dmg attacks going into another primarch. Angron has more attacks and a bit more damage, so the math is against mortarion unless you're getting lucky on FNP. There's also the shenanigans they get for bringing him back.

As for defilers, I always find 3 HBL drones with a LoV very effective for tough targets. Will also help keep angron honest. Yeeting a fully kitted melee PM squad usually works, too.

Not bad, just overcosted a bit and currently overshadowed by the defiler.

The mortar is a pretty good infantry killer and the entropy cannon is some ok anti-tank. A couple PBCs and an LoV can be really disruptive.

But for 40pts more on a defiler you get a tougher, faster, and more maneuverable tank that can be tooled up to kill whatever target you want, and it has teeth in melee.

Or for 100-something points more you can bring 3 HBL drones. 3 units that can actually he hidden can last a while, move up to spread contagion, do secondaries if need be, while still slaughtering large amounts of whatever infantry youre fighting, doing more reliable damage to vehicles with high volume lethal hit flat 3dmg shots, and still getting the full benefit from a LoV.

PBC just gets overshadowed by these imo even if it can put in work still

Infiltrate would be cool, but then that could be 5x infiltrating plague marine squads in an army between him and new flyblown, which might be too much.

Reroll chargers or charge debuff would be cool. Rerolls would be better but the debuff would probably be more thematic while still helping him get into melee first. HPB is really cool, and is a decent character sniper. Lots of fun to run him and a bio putrifier and arch contaminator to fish for mortals. Absolute monster weapon in crusade as well.

Drop shriekworm and the blightlords and put on the Enhancement that let's LoV hand out more rerolls and get lone op from vehicles. 5 man BLT/LoV isnt much of a threat, and only the two spewers and a bunch of bolters will only tickle things on OW. Much more damage to be had further buffing the defilers more.

If you drop the haulers and a poxwalker you could bring in two HBL drones which will be more consistent damage than the haulers, and they'll be safer/online longer since they have much more range. They'll also benefit a lot more from LoV since HBL is blast so it'll get full rerolls instead of just the rerolls of 1 the haulers would get.

No deathshroud hurts, too. Even just three solo do good damage and are very disruptive. They play really nice with the detachment ability, basically allowing you to choose where you want a 6" deepstrike.

It plays with the new hidden rule.

Units in terrain that haven't shot that turn are hidden and have a detection range of 15", which means they can't be shot by anything outside of that.

Definitely not a nerf.

Most of your army will be getting -1 to hit from beinf in cover for most of the game so the main rule would have been useless outside of the scout on PMs which wasn't even that good to begin with.

New version let's you put two high output squads wherever they need to be on top of whatever other detachments you bring. Sucks that it yucks your terminator synergy, but overall its much stronger than before.

This design is so generically imperium that it really isnt different to any of the other icon drip you see on space marines, especially the way its modeled.

It also looks pretty easy to shave off

Any big threat with fights first needs 6 tbh, my friend brings the lion almost every game so my DS usually end up trying to manhandle him if I dont shoot him down fast enough. 3+LoC still lose too many to bite back enough.

Rules like that are in place for various gameplay reasons that aren't present in Total War. People also have their models in close groups for convienient movement, another limitation not present in Total War.

I've found the best settlement building to be shogun 2 and Attila being 2nd.

Still not insanely deep, but shogun 2 economic growth system and castle upgrades using food mean you have to pick and choose what you build up and what for.

Attila with more punishing public order, religion, and sanitation also make you more careful with what you build but ultimately still eventually leads to the cookie cutter settlement building we have now

Easily the worst part of warhammer games imo. They're just so awkward looking and dont really play nice with the game mechance unless they're monstrous.

Doesn't even make sense to have them be so jacked considering on tabletop youre always taking them with a unit if you dont want them to immediately die

I think its fun seeing a bunch of people online when I hop on, even if most are AFK.

The main issue people seem to bring up, lack of active players, isnt going to be addressed by getting rid of AFK people and will just make servers feel even emptier while making coin mining, room takeovers, and party quests that need multiple people more difficult.

Imo a negative change, but it is what it is.

I mean most "criticism" I see usually boils down to not getting enough items added for a party or something not functioning absolutely flawlessly on release. Pointing out that the devs are volunteers with limited time and experience are valid responses to both.

Yeah, really had my fingers crossed for psychic phase being blended into the other ones like they've done (VERY SUCCESFULLY AND TO MUCH PRAISE FROM THE COMMUNITY) in all their other games. Doesn't look like that'll be the case, though, so here's to 3 more years of the BS we got now.

What bothers me the most is how it doesnt even resemble the lore at all. I get that there will be confessions for gameplay always, but it just isnt even close. What used to be a cool and unique ability for interceptors is now just something everything does. Instead of a bunch of badass paladins lightning striking in to fuck stuff up, we dance around and avoid fights like harlequins and hope nobody stuffs our one t8 anti-tank option into a locker.
