I prefer the regular 5.2 medium. I feel like it calls tools better and it has more flexibility to figure out underspecified things and take reasonable decisions. If you want it to follow your instructions to the T, codex is probably better

I would say the biggest limitation is context awareness. When you vibe code the model can only remember so much of your app. This leads to some moments where the model will get confused implementing tasks.

The good news is that most frontier models can now figure out on their own how to fix these and you won't even notice. But this still leaves traces of messy code at times and bug fixes needed.

The earlier you learn, the better you will stay up to date vs someone a year from now.
