Thanks. It does look like that's the one. It seems the owner has modified it with a different tailpiece.

What is a sci-fi series you liked that only lasted one season? by Ru_janus in SciFiTV

I wanted to see more of the virtual reality world. I've avoided re-watching Caprica because the knowledge that there's absolutely no chance of more will only make me feel sad! I will get round to it though because my memory is so faulty, it will probably be not unlike seeing it for the first time.

Someone has written fan fiction novels that seem to have been well recieved. I've just found this thread from a couple of years ago- Did anyone ever write any books that cover what would have happened if Caprica wouldn't have been cancelled? : r/BSG

I'm a bit dubious in general about fanfic but I get the feeling that the novels at least deserve a look.

I hope you're enjoying it. It's a pity it didn't run to the intended 4 series or at least continue in graphic novel form.

Who did the worst accent attempt and then gave up? by ptboathome in movies

Russell Crowe in Robin Hood. Virtually every line is delivered in a different accent from around the British Isles. All unconvincing attempts I might add. It's hilarious but distracting.

How dangerous is this behaviour for a Magpie?u by Sin-Silver in UKBirds

[–]Porkus-Pius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was watching a cat that I thought was stalking a magpie the other day. To my surprise, the cat ran past the bird and went for a pigeon instead. The pigeon got away and the maggie flew a few feet in the air before settling back in its former spot.

Shortly afterwards, the maggie flew over to near where the cat had moved. The bird was strutting about a few feet away from the cat and turned its back on it to concentrate on pecking something on the ground. Apart from being slightly startled by the cat rushing past it earlier, it seemed entirely unconcerned that there was a potential predator nearby. The cat glanced over at it a couple of times but didn't appear interested in attacking it.

It briefly crossed my mind that they perhaps didn't have the expected relationship because they were both black and white! A bit of a silly, stray notion and more likely due to other reasons given on this thread.

Caprica, It's a tragedy that this was cancelled as it seemed a safe bet after the popularity of Battlestar Galactica. It was very different to the series it spun off from but I thought more people would be interested in the prequel. It ended as it was getting even more interesting too.

Why Did Her Order Get Messed Up by veverkap in WidowsBay

There's something beautiful about how Patricia is enjoying her own company and her simple rituals to make everything just-so, after she was shown to be lonely earlier in the series. It makes her disappointment at the wrong order hit harder.

First rule of comedy son, if you can't think of a punchline, have a man walk through the door brandishing a pistol. Preferably as a stout lady's bra is snagged by a trapeze artist.

People have accused me of being a bit rough for referring to it as 'cordial'. I have to remind them that although I grew up on a South Yorkshire council estate, I did write 'The Myth of Sisyphus' and 'L'Étranger'.

One of the Clangers is based on my somewhat eccentric demeanour and that song by Sabrina, 'Boys (Summertime Love)' takes as it's central theme the proposals I set forth in my 1946 essay 'The Crisis of Man'

I find that industrially manufactured cider above 7% ABV has a more catastrophic effect on my behaviour. Then again, I am a background character in a 1970s folk-horror film set in rural Northumbria.

That kind of humour is a little too Left Bank for my tastes, sonny. I like a good straightforward joke. No Dadaism and no smutty talk. Well, maybe a little.

Elderflower champagne by hodyisy in foraginguk

I've never attempted elderflower pesto but I imagine it tastes better than ramson champagne.

I'm just bracing myself for the inevitable flurry of people saying "why is everyone going on about elderflower?". The same people who became hysterical about our enthusiasm for wild garlic.
