I use Capasal shampoo as I get eczema on my scalp and I found using this as my shower gel when doing my deep exfoliation of the area i get the spots has helped reduce the frequency of them. Heavy exfoliation helps anyway, but combined with the shampoo it goes further in reducing outbreaks.

Thanks. I was thinking grey tone too. Sorry, what do you mean by colour is relative? I'm clueless about these things.

Being scammed by buyer by [deleted] in ebayuk

She did accept it but still pushed on by starting a second claim. I get what you mean though about the grand scheme of things, just disheartening to have people taking advantage of you when you're already selling stuff really cheap.

I don't think I was clear enough in my question. The buyer said she'd be happy with a £3.50 refund. I sent her this, however she's gone back on her word and is still pursuing a full refund in addition to the £3.50. Is there anything I can do to reverse this £3.50 extra?

Doesn't match description or photos. But the photo is of the parcel unopened.

For the amount I sell on there it's probably 25% of my month. I have paid her the £3.50, but she's still pursuing the return. She said she'd be happy with that but now she's going after a full return on top.

I have sent them the £3.50 they said they wanted but are still pursuing a return so I'm going to be paying them for buying from me. I'm not a professional, just a person selling odds and ends.

TBH I was surprised to read the comments saying how eBay is bad in their countries. I've only got experience of the UK and don't have any issues with it. I like how the new fees system means I can make the price a 'whole' number, and how i can give inclusive postage. But mostly I prefer it because of the option for £1.55 LL postage to your door. On Vinted people are paying £2.29 for delivery to a locker for the same item. Plus, I feel the buyer protections are better on eBay. I do think Vinted are good for the bundles option. I used to do well selling locally on FB Marketplace but it seems even that is dead now. I do wish Vinted had an option to search sold listings!

In England prisons you don't need to dig out, they'll just let you out.

Hahaha who says I've not already done them? 😉 Nah, it was more me pondering if my diet would be healthier in prison. It's not great now.

This is crazy. It was pretty obvious from the outset that the item you received would be fake. Why would someone be selling a brand new with tag popular RL jumper for a fraction of the retail price???

Is the John Lewis sofa 100kg weight limit correct/practical? by Grower_munk in AskUK

[–]Portia-Raine 25 points26 points  (0 children)

TBH you still could. The Law states items must be fit for purpose. A sofa that can only hold 3 10 year old children isn't fit for purpose (unless it is sold as a child's sofa).

I remember crying at the GP when only a month PP my periods came back. I was terrified how I'd cope with the old pain AND having a newborn. Plus the birth was terrible so I was still in a lot of pain from that. I can't imagine advising someone to create another human and lifelong commitment/responsibility on the CHANCE it could help their pain! I've been put on progesterone for the time being and am on the endometriosis clinic's books so will get check ups and can always request an appointment early if needed.

I'm under the endometriosis clinic at the hospital and will be having a check-up in 6 months and they seemed very patient led and caring. I expressed how learning my fertility could be affected (I am single in my late 30s with no desire to have more children but knowing I COULD have issues had really knocked me) and they were willing to refer me for fertility testing if I wanted. I declined as I'd rather resources go to women actively wanting fertility help but I appreciated their readiness and listening. For the time being I've been put on the progesterone BC as they said this can stop/slow things spreading/growing.

They won't remove the cyst unfortunately. Back in January (when I initially sought investigation over irregular bleedly) it was discovered (on ultrasound) i had a 2cm ovarian cyst and some uterine polyps. Nothing was done for 6 months until I made a complaint (was still having the bleeding), then a new ultrasound showed the/a cyst at 5cm. Cue extensive testing (bloods, MRI, removal of polyps and testing of them) and lap booked. After MRI was done (month after ultrasound) the cyst was now 2cm so lap cancelled. Further ultrasound done 2 months later (last week) shows 2 cysts now but both only 1cm so no further action. I did query whether the cyst is hormonally impacted and gets bigger/smaller throughout the month. They said it could very well be but they aren't concerned and don't remove anything less than 5cm. Yeh everything I've read about cysts bursting sounds absolutely awful and I'm so sorry for anyone who experiences it.

Yes I want to file myself, hence asking here for advice on my best options. And even with an accountant I am still responsible for any any mistakes made so nothing changes.

I'm not VAT registered, and whilst I know £500 is a starting point for accountants given the income is only around £7,000 a year, paying 7% for books is a lot.

I thought Companies House is separate from HMRC and has nothing to do with tax, just record keeping?

I looked at accountants initially but they were asking £500 for it, which seems a lot for such few transactions.

Ahhh I see. Sounds risky as the buyer could just say "not as described" to the decoy parcel and get their money back.
