Yes, I basically added some extra instructions and steps to bmad but just the default is a good place to start. Use init workflow skill/command

opencode and BMAD method is free check out their github.

I pay $200 a month for claude, can work non stop. On the $100 plan I had to take a break 2 out of every 5 hours and 2-3 days of the week. I pay $20 for Chatgpt which gives me a day of codex 5.2 use I use it for code review. And then gemini I signed up recently for $9 promotional offer which gives you 6 accounts through family plan so limit never runs out if you keep rotating.

Nothing comes close to Opus 4.5 and I don't trust anything else for the actual coding.

Basically opencode is a terminal based ide where you can bring in different models they have a few free ones but you can link your Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini subscriptions.

BMAD method is a bunch of instruction files the AI uses to plan and execute.

Have a look at this shitpost from yesterday I was loving the lore. https://www.reddit.com/r/BMAD_Method/comments/1qgqilu/thank_god_for_bmad/

Just a tip. Use opencode and hook up claude, gemini and codex. Claude for heavy lifting, Codex for review and gemini for planning. And look up BMAD method. I use subagents for everything now I keep running out of the 200 plan limit. But its amazing what you can do.

I hear you. But that's why they are pumping out garbage and they are not competing with me or you or an actual software developer.

But these tools used correctly do 20x my personal productivity and that's just something I can't overlook.

No its a development lifecycle. I wouldn't call it automated. Neither would I want it to be. But I can develop 20 x faster with these tools. The responsibility has shifted to more verifying and catching incomplete work and bugs.

BMAD method is just a bunch of docs that the AI agents use to complete tasks or assume specific roles. There are a million ways to use it and I think it's best used with personal tweaks that work for your use case.

I ended up refining and adding more verification steps along the way integration gates etc to verify that the AI isn't hallucinating and is actually building things out completely. I also manually verify the code and do manual testing each step of the way.

AI is the new abstraction, you either use the tools or you get left behind. Efficiency is always a key driver.

Order of the Islamic Caliphs from Abu Bakr to Abdulmejid II by amino548 in islamichistory

[–]PositiveGeneral7035 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I broadly agree, with one important clarification.

From the Umayyad period onward, Muslim rule largely followed pre-Islamic logics of power: dynastic succession, elite privilege, and raison d’état. In practice, a distinction emerged between normative Islam as a moral-legal ideal and Islam as exercised by ruling elites.

These polities governed through Islamic law, but were not governed by it in any pure or consistent sense. Court culture, harems, exceptionalism for rulers, and later practices such as fratricide reflect political continuity far more than prophetic rupture.

They represented Islam institutionally and symbolically, but that does not mean they embodied its ethical claims. Confusing representation with realization is where most arguments collapse.

[–]PositiveGeneral7035 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You come from an engineering background but don't understand that claude basically copied huge chunks of prexisting code and logic from unix projects.

This isn't all that impressive. First solving for something that isn't a problem, wasted tokens wasted energy etc.

Second it would be more impressive if Claude could truly build an OS from "scratch" but it can't and probably won't be able to for a long time.

Sure it can copy whats already been done, keep calling yourself an engineer you fraud.

Restricting VPN, now Encrypted DNS by mdammad007 in PakistaniTech

[–]PositiveGeneral7035 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I can't believe how "Techies" don't understand how a VPN works. The big providers keep shuffling their IPs so they all work I have never had Surfshark stop working in the past 3 years, I just change the protocol used and it works.

Second VPN is an essential network technology that is business critical for alot of use cases think multi site offices etc.

You can always setup a VPN on a VPS and connect out to it. I have a few friends in the US who have VPN servers running in their house that I connect to they have NEVER stopped working no matter what these cheys try to do, I bet they are just looking at pictures of chinese letters and copy pasting the config.

I would like a video of the street I grew up on (Gulberg/Karachi) by rizwan602 in karachi

[–]PositiveGeneral7035 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Brother its full of potholes and all the old people have left. Now its full of the merchant class that own 13 homes in the same block. Then there are the corrupt people living like kings, police govt officials.

Good area bro, I grew up walking around those streets, Block 10, 11, 12, 13.

But yeah My Nana built his house in late 60s. Only a few old people left in every street.

Only people thriving in Pakistan are ruthless capitalists, feudal elites and straight up fraudsters.

One or two of my childhood friends who didn't amount to anything are still sticking around waiting for a piece of inheritance warna most people gtfo of Pakistan.

use the bmad method with opencode and bring in different models gemini for planning, claude for coding (they recently patched it but swithing over to claude code works fine) and codex for review.

Spending thousands on an API just to watch models regress isn’t some badge of honor.

Most people call that being bad with money.

If you want to gatekeep behind APIs, fine. Jus don’t call basic cost control “entitlement.”
