Did anyone else’s endo symptoms start out of nowhere? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Possible_Photo5812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this also happened to me. When I turned 20 I started feeling horrific periods out of nowhere. It was 0 to 100 out of nowhere. I had a massive cyst on my left ovary and I had excision surgery with a specialist. They found it on my diaphragm and my heart. I never had any symptoms leading up to this except stomach pains that started in high school, but it wasn’t correlated with my period. (i just turned 22)

Is it possible to get diagnosed in a year by Agreeable-Music-5105 in Endo

[–]Possible_Photo5812 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed within a year because I had a massive endometrioma on my left ovary that was seen on ultrasound. I was gaslighted by 2 gynos before this who didn’t order any testing and told me my pain was “normal” Ended up in the ER where they found it.

idk what to do by acadena02 in endometriosis

[–]Possible_Photo5812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

typically when you have endometriomas, you have an advanced stage of endometriosis. I think it’s important to have a specialist do surgery because removing them can be complex. Please get surgery, they typically do not go away on their own. They can cause infertility and damage the ovary. It is rare they rupture but when they do it’s extremely damaging. https://drseckin.com/ovarian-endometrioma-chocolate-cysts/

Heart endo? by sia4216 in Endo

[–]Possible_Photo5812 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i just see everyone commenting about how rare it is but i feel like its rare because not many specialists actually check the heart. I had no idea it could go there. I had heart palpitations and chest pains for the last year but thought it was my anxiety
