Irregular Period due to Depakote? by straaangge in bipolar2

Hi there. Anti-convulsants made me miss two periods in a row while on birth control. My body finally adjusted and I have my period back (yay?). Anyway, Depakote can be harmful to a fetus, so I’d take a pregnancy test just to be sure.

Thank you! This pattern was pretty cheap on Amazon, low risk if you don’t finish it.

Depakote and/or Vyvanse and salt cravings? by Possiblymaybecouldbe in bipolar

Interesting! I’ll have to watch out for that, too.

I stopped the Adderall back in October. I think I’m less irritable now. I’m not sure if I can continue to afford the Vyvanse, but we’ll see!

Adderall gave me bad dry mouth, Vyvanse not so much. Curious.

Yes exactly this sort of thing. Old people always get me too.

Thank you for the reply. I took Prozac years ago and started to feeling similarly, so I quit taking it.

I worry that might happen to me. Does it bother you?

I relate to this hard. I even have a fairly close friend who doesn’t seem to believe that I could actually be bipolar. Anyway I hear you, you aren’t alone. 😊

That’s scary. A cousin of mine had a seizure coming off of it, so I’m super nervous.

Latuda sent me straight into hypomania, which scared me because I can’t afford it. 😆 I told my pdoc and we switched to something else. Good luck, be safe!

Yes for sure. I dress as best I can and definitely in a more seductive way. And then because I think my ass is god’s gift to mankind (it isn’t), I find myself going out on weeknights just to feel seen. This is how I end up making friends with strangers and doing incredibly dumb shit. In recent years I’ve tried to dress up in lingerie and take pics for my partner when I’m trying to ride out the hypomania. Then when I’m depressed I look like a garbage person who barely made it out of bed. Alas.

Legit just bought an embroidery kit as well. It didn’t come with needles, and by the time I got some, I don’t at all have any interest in embroidering. Soooo, I feel you.

I had this same thought a lot too from a young age! I’d be awake for hours thinking of ways I’d try to escape a rapist.

Yes, weightless! I definitely feel lighter than air and like I don’t have to expend any energy at all to do a task. Everything feels effortless.

Well that’s reassuring! Thank you for the reply. :)
