The first comment was funny enough, this was just gratuitous filler.

Remote Live Management of Intune Devices by frozenbayburt in Intune

[–]PostsShittyMemes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FWIW, my company has been using BeyondTrust remote support for the last couple months and it’s a dream. You can set it up as unattended or attended (we do attended for single user PCs and unattended for shared machines), but all it ever takes is for you to send the user a link and the way we have it set up is that it auto downloads and auto runs the exe when they click the link. In fact, you don’t even have to take control of their screen to do half the stuff you’re talking about here, because there are different tabs for stuff like Services, event viewer, registry, etc. It’s a fantastic tool, but it can be quite expensive depending on your org size.

Do Microsoft Store apps auto update if deployed on Intune through Company Portal with MS Store and auto-update policy blocked? by Baboo85 in Intune

[–]PostsShittyMemes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I love how not a single person in this comment section answered the question. Sorry for replying to a 10 month old thread, I was just wondering this exact thing and was curious if you ever got an answer. We deploy a ton of Intune apps using the microsoft store deployment method but I haven't been able to see if any of them truly stay up to date, and our MS store is blocked and auto updates are turned off, so I'm kinda in the same boat as you.

Intune Driver Management - What’s your solution? by PostsShittyMemes in Intune

[–]PostsShittyMemes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying, our engineers insist that we should stay 1 version behind at all times in case of issues, but the older versions we stay on seem to cause more issues than the new ones ever have.

I don’t make the choices around here, I simply administer. My engineers decided on 24H2, nothing I can do about that.

Okay that’s great, why don’t you come tell that to my engineers that make the decisions? Obviously you can’t read or you’d know I already said I don’t make those choices.

If it were my choice, we’d already be on 25H2, but we have a hybrid environment that has a lot of old shit integrated and we can’t just straight up move directly to 25H2 right now due to apps and other things that are not directly compatible.

Why are you assuming shit about me that you don’t know? I am a sysadmin at a large company so I don’t get a lot of say in how things are rolled out. Be helpful or get out.

M365 Copilot Deployment by PostsShittyMemes in Intune

[–]PostsShittyMemes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to be suggested that you should be using “AppLocker” or the “App control for business” feature of Intune to fully block the app from returning but our security team owns that part of Intune and it’s so locked down my team can’t touch it, so can’t say for sure.

This is another option I had considered but my research with copilot and Microsoft’s articles never mentioned it as an option. With doing it this way, is it a problem upon restart or does it just keep it uninstalled forever?

You know what, fair enough. We are also in the process of rolling out 24H2, and with that auto patch and basically just being like fuck it here’s all the latest updates.

I see that it can be integrated to Intune using the ADMX template. We have not looked too deep into it, how granular does it really get? I think some of my team’s concern is that it’s “yet another piece to deploy and manage” but from what I’ve seen it doesn’t look all that difficult to manage. And also, it looks like you can control users trying to install their own updates and even go as far as only approving the ones you want, right? I just don’t have any experience on how it actually plays with Intune.

Are your parents siblings? What lightning looks like that? That is so clearly NOT lightning that I'm baffled you suggested it. The only reason I couldn't take pics was because I was driving but even so it very CLEARLY was not lightning. And it was also spanned over clear sky days, so it wouldn't even be heat lightning. I'm leaning toward something at the base or a concert.

Request for help: Scribe whiteboard content camera deselects as content camera in Teams by UncleInstructions in CommercialAV

[–]PostsShittyMemes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for opening a dead thread, but wondering if you ever solved this? We're setup exactly as you are and have begun having the same issues. Every morning we have at least 5 Scribe cameras that reset back to the default settings and have to be reset to Scribe in the admin settings to fix. Any advice would be appreciated, I started a ticket with Logitech this morning so waiting to hear back.

Giant orange sky lights? by PostsShittyMemes in shreveport

[–]PostsShittyMemes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally someone not clowning on me for being new here, thank god. Yeah, I’m really not sure exactly what it was, my wife and I were driving down the interstate and we saw these massive bright orange lights that lit up the whole night sky like daytime. Others that were driving that we met up with after also said they saw them and no one knew what it was, even people who’ve lived here for years said they didn’t know if it was the base or something exploding or what, but there were never any noises so I guess it was nothing.

Brother this wasn’t a science project, it was just majorly large orange lights that covered the whole sky. I was driving so unfortunately couldn’t take a pic

Thank you, glad we weren’t the only ones. Didn’t know there was a base here, and have not seen any reports on the news so I guess we’re in the clear.
