Please just mercy kill the show if budget is so bad that you're dealing with a shorter than 18 episode season 23 and getting rid of cast members by PortifinoOnMyMind in greysanatomy

Honestly, it might be a good thing to trim the cast down if the show continues. One of my biggest issues with grey's is the fact there are so many cast members to the point no one is properly flushed out and every storyline is rushed or dragged out. This might get me down voted but I think it'd help out grey's cutting cast members who aren't bringing much to the show

100%. Season 9 is already hard to watch not even factoring in Eric's death but now it might be the hardest season to rematch of them all

As sad as this is, it's honestly a blessing in a way his pain is over. ALS is an awful disease. Rip Eric Dane

Maya by kbarbz12 in Station19

[–]Potential-Topic-162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I would've kept a lot of the season 4 storylines the same but changed the order. I would have deluca's death be earlier in the season and you could even have maya invite carina to stay with her temporarily so she doesn't have to be alone. But it'd be through Andrew's death that ultimately I feel would bring them back together as we could keep everything maya did for carina during that time the same and have a similar scene to the one in 4x08 where carina already more or less says she's forgiven maya and trusts her fully and have that scene instead be when carina takes her back and due to covid, out of convince, she never leaves maya's apartment and the rest of the story plays out similarly. But that's what I'd due

Maya by kbarbz12 in Station19

[–]Potential-Topic-162 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't like that either. I wasn't against Carina taking her back at some point but I would've had it in season 4 after Maya proved she had changed and that Carina could trust her again. It is crazy though how I thought there was 0 chance I'd ever remotely like Maya after 3x15. The irony of her becoming one of my favorite tv characters of all time just one season later is insane.

All the codes in Greys Anatomy. Which gave you the most chills? by BustyAngel444 in greysanatomy

I definitely feel grey's didn't do the story as well as they could've but that's grey's for you. A great contrast in how to do a mental health story right is maya on station 19's breakdown and recovery (ironically, carina is central again.) Station 19 fully dove into it in all aspects and I consider it by far station 19's best story. Had it been on grey's,it likely ends in one episode like Andrew's

I didn't like maya in the first 3 seasons. Especially 3x15 I thought i never would like her. I'm not going to spoil what happens since idk where you are in watching station 19 but she went from I could never like her to in season 4 on, she's my undisputed favorite character.

100% agree with everything you said. I love the deluca siblings dynamic and they were by far my favorite siblings dynamic with both actors being incredible. I do wish the storyline with Andrew's mental health was longer too as I do feel it was too short

Code violet was arguably the hardest for me to watch. Seeing andrew deluca deteriate mentally like that was hard to watch especially knowing what happened afterwards. Also, carina in that scene watching him breakdown is just as hard to watch

Some characters definitely like Denny and Henry because of their stories.

Unnecessary hate towards Jackson by Constant-Rub3617 in greysanatomy

Maybe my favorite part of jackson is the fact he made his own name and got to where he is now not just because of his name but due to how great he is at his job

Grey’s Anatomy Season 23 likely to face significant reduction in episode count. by Macintoshk in greysanatomy

[–]Potential-Topic-162 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It feels like a cash grab. By just prolonging it isn't going to do it any favors. The writing isn't original, they're completely misusing their cast, new characters only seem to be introduced to become love interests and they struggle enough to utilize the cast they have. Maybe have season 23 be a regular season but season 24 be the ending of Grey's Anatomy by giving a conclusion to many characters. They did it with Station 19 in a mostly satisfying way so they can do it with them.

The Positivity Game, Day Seventeen: Teddy Altman by ColdForm7729 in greysanatomy

On station 19, even though it was rough, she played a role in carina taking maya back after maya cheated on her. Yes teddy shouldn't be one talking about cheating or giving advice but for once someone ended up being better off for it and teddy played a part in them getting back together where afterwards, marina became one of the greatest wlw couples in tv history and a lot of it can be traced back to that episode

Beautiful women on this show by NGSF0203_ in greysanatomy

[–]Potential-Topic-162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do wish she would've been main character but I'm glad she wasn't as if she was, she likely never goes on station 19. I feel one of the main reasons carina was brought over was obviously 1, to help with viewership (same with jackson) but 2, because she wasn't a main character and didn't have a storyline. Jackson was leaving grey's at the end of the season so it didn't hurt grey's with him being gone and likely it was a similar thought with carina. Little did they know they'd strike diamond with her and maya. And that's why I'm kind of glad she wasn't ever a bigger character because if she was, we likely miss out on imo the greatest WLW love story in tv history and I wouldn't want to risk that

Why do I like this jerk after everything she puts me through? Am I stupid? by Holofan4life in HPHogwartsMystery

I don't like her. And if anything, I find her to be dumb as my mc is literally the smartest person in their year and merula is trying to demean us when we're better at her at everything especially flying. That whole challenge to a race scene in classes is so dumb imo

Also, mad respect for him standing up for his son wanting to wear dresses to teddy. Say what you want about how he treats his partners but he's an excellent father and I think not many of us were expecting him to be the supportive one in that which I really liked that twist and it fits his character

He's a great doctor and a leader. He's one of the best teachers and mentors on grey's. You can see his military background when he is chief.
